Why not just drain the fluid and look at it first. If it looks clean just refill it but if it looks bad then you could flush it.

You can download a trial version of the Pharos software from there web site. There trial software is limited to three open maps. This can be an issue because of how the maps are broken up. The good part is the map updates are free.

I used pharos software and there bluetooth gps reciever before I got my iphone. I use the garmin app for the iphone and it is the same as my wifes garmin unit. The free or cheap gps apps are very poor. I have a spare bluetooth reciever and copy of the software, make me an offer.
