There are two very common versions of the two pin plugs out there.
One has two long cable that will need to be shortened.
The other one has one long cable and a short cable.
Remember it is alwas easier to shorten the cable than legnthen it.

Are you thinking of a pioneer rack or a Max Axe. Another option is the shovel and ax mount that Con Ferr used to make, I think ORU is now making it just look under the rack accessories.
If you are concerned about security than you should mount them inside of the trailer. You could mount them...
That trailer has a coil spring suspension. The manufacturers stopped making those trailers decades ago. I have been told by some old time drivers that those trailers had handling issues.
There is a modern equivalent of that trailer that is available today, and they can be found on the used market.

It looks like the bunks fold down and the lower bunk is split. What is under the front portion.
Is there a refrigerator?
What size are your holding tanks?
What is the dimensions of the bathroom insert and do you know who made it?
The reason I am asking these question...
I have thought about a suspension that was like the Hendrix walking beam but the pivot point was actually a hinge point and there was an airbag on each side this way you would have both the travel and air ride.
