    A/C Retrofit Kits

So this unit will fit under the dash? Hmmm. I've already got an AC unit in the M109 box, but this would save the the trouble of having to duct it fwd to the cab. If you've got any more, I'm interested and could pick it up in person.

    Hanging Bobber Springs

I don't know the short answer, but take a look at this article (you can start at the 'blueprints' section) for a general overview of what you need to consider when you're locating leafsprings and shackle mounting points.

    modifying the transfercase shifter

I'm going to do it. I've got a T-case PTO too, so I'll need a 3-position switch. If you guys can help me select the best parts to use, I can design the brackets to mount everything. I think I'd like to mount the switch on the shifter. Would the switches you're talking about work well mounted...

Leaving Morgan Hill, CA 95037 on Thursday June 3rd, with an empty pickup truck (fullsize diesel shortbed), and I'm headed up to Seattle via 5. Would love to find a small load to help with gas money...

Everybody's saying the same thing. Seems like no matter where you are, what you want/need is somewhere else.

Another way to Bob a Deuce!

Contact Deaver about ANY questions related to leafsprings. Some desert racers and rock crawlers have experimented with anti-friction shims/tape/pads between leafs, but they can end up causing more problems than they solve when dirt/rocks/grit get into them: ends up creating something with more...

    Show us your Military Trailers

M353 trailer with a 12ft uhaul box set on top of it. Plan was to use it to haul my tools and dirtbikes and junk behind Mah Deuce. Decided that I want to build something a little bit smaller though. Picking up a trailer that looks sorta like an M105 trailer, but it's got a 10ft flatbed on it, and...

ultimate onboard fuel filtration / processing setup

OK, good to know Ed. That's why I'm asking these questions now. Looks like I need to rethink things. Appreciate the input.

    which generator/s for motorhome project?

Are you saying that they can power a heater/AC, or are those built into the APU's? I've got heating and cooling covered (several times over), so while that sounds cool, I don't think I need that.

    which generator/s for motorhome project?

Thanks. I wasn't sure about whether or not the diesel generators were multifuels. But how well do they handle WMO and WVO? No kidding. That sounds like a pretty big package for the power output. Um, what's an APU? OK, just googled. It Auxiliary Power Unit. But what's so special about them? And...

ultimate onboard fuel filtration / processing setup

I don't know, but that's on my list of questions I need to ask (so I get get the right fuel pump). I'll let you know as soon as I find out. I was going to ask (don't laugh) if there's any way that I might be able to purge the lines with... air. Maybe I should just plan on installing a small...

ultimate onboard fuel filtration / processing setup

Hi Bjorn. Thanks for the tip regardingthose water heaters, but they're going to be inline with my propane water heaters, so I will have water pumps pushing fluids through the system. Will that be a problem? I'd love to get some info about how much these heaters might be able to raise the...

    100DOLLARMAN's 1st Bobbed 5 Ton!!!

If you want to build something like that, I would suggest removing the pivot assembly completely, and fabricating a new spring-perch/hanger/clampy-thing that would bolt to where the pivot/axle was bolted. You could probably even reuse the tube that spans the framerails and some of the other...

ultimate onboard fuel filtration / processing setup

The one filter that isn't compatible with gasoline should really never need to come into contact with gasoline, as it's only intended to separate water from the previously mentioned fluids. Evidently those have a much higher percentage of water in them, and the water is suspended in those fluids...

    100DOLLARMAN's 1st Bobbed 5 Ton!!!

On a bobbed deuce (or 5-ton), I would be really tempted to just ditch the leafsprings altogether an install a set of coilover shocks. Or maybe airbags. Either way would be easier, and arguably better, than he effort that would go into building a nice quarter-elliptic setup.
