The "J" bolts and trays should work. You will need to fab up a new bar. Not a big deal. Me, I would use some shrink wrap on the bar.

I never had a problem running load tests on the pallets. Its not meant to be anything more then a quick fix. But works.

Now, I would advise you to open a thread for each gen set. That way we can follow things, and help. Working on more then one gen set per thread is confusing. Post up some pictures. That way we can tell you about things wrong/missing, you may not even have seen. Then start a parts wanted thread...
