You get another one of those, its pretty easy to pick the pieces out of the grill. They don't hold together well.... Really glad to hear the trip is going well. Try and post some landmark photos as your travels go on.
I second that. When you have a disagreement with other leadership, you meet in private, hammer it out, wipe off the blood and provide a united front. That's the way I learned it in 20 years with Uncle Sam. A public debate like this is uncomfortable for most, and unproductive for all. Just my HO.
Thanks! The console is stock K5 blazer from u-pull it parts. 15 bucks and works perfect. And the gray color just ties nice with the replacement dash pad that was already in there.
I made some weatherpac adapters. It was really easy. Just grab your test light, and turn each item on (turns, TL ) and verify the pins that are active.
Well here is the parts donor. I already pulled the doors off which were real nice. Next is glass and both roofs. Yes the visor is going bye-bye!
I am not keeping the 37" "Hummer" tires either. Only 3 are real good, the fourth is bald.
Well, I have done a similiar job on a VW, and I did have a very good body shop quote it, but I think I am going to attack this one. I'll post as it progresses, but its stinkin cold now so it may have to wait a bit.....

I may need a cargo cover and bows moved from Olympia to GA. Have someone looking for freight cost on those items. If you are interested, let me know how much to throw them on board and I will pass it on as an option.
I also have made the drive many times, I was stationed at McCord for 8...
Found out how much tree it takes to crush the roof on a 1009....If anybody knows of a local supply of parts for this, information would be appreciated.

New Command seat-Road tested and approved by the best co-pilot. Boy is she catching the "Green Flu"
Machinest75 provided the seats, a little welding and a little angle iron later- Most comfortable seat ever! Huge improvement.... As soon as I get the battery relocation kit in and secure another...
I would be very careful using ether on the 6.2 engine. Bad things can happen. There is even a warning label not to use it on the air cleaner...unless I am missing something.
I had a very similiar problem and my sons buddy showed me a trick. Take an air blow gun with a rag around it and add a...
