Pass Seat
Waiting on my seats from Machinest75 now. Ordered a battery relocation kit, and putting three across seats in (can't forget the puppy). Two on spring (or air if i can find bases) and one rigid in the middle. I think this will be a cool setup.
Compressor
Thanks guys for all the input. I have one on its way, although the manual shut down with a return spring works pretty darn nice...
Also, figured out what was wrong with the compressor. This truck had brand new tires and brand new engine installed, and then was written for no air...
Same
My truck is the same. I drove these 923s in Belgium for ayear when they were brand spankin new and they always had the hard downshift. I didn't even notice it in my new 923 cuz it just seemed normal.
Tires
I have set the fronts at 80 psi, rears at 50
tires are brand new. I included the picture of the tire tread as it shows the casting flash still on the contact area.
Visual inspection of the front end looks good. No obvious leask or abnormal wear.
I put about 50 miles on today to...
1009 Towing
Here is a pic of my 1009 w/16 ft trailer and Kubota tractor. Putting on the hitch caused me to lose the skid plate and pintle, so keep that in mind also. I have also towed my son's AMC eagle on the same trailer/CUCV combo with no issues at all.
Hi, I finally got the new 923 out for a run today. It has the Goodyear G177 tires on it and has a shake at around 40-45 but seems to pretty much drive through it. I'm pretty sure its in the front tires. The tires are brand new (still had casting flash across the tread. I am not sure where to...
Good news..
OK, truck is running. I still can't believe how sweet that engine runs. It actually looks like a fresh rebuild. There is brand new paint on the harmonic balncer area without a spot of dirt, but the mounts are not paointed, so it was def painted outside of the frame. Also making...
Over ride
I have heard of this, but don't know how to bypass. I have not gotten it to restart after the compressor job. I didn't really "smell" it, had dissipated by the time I got out of the cab.
The pump is different
Thanks Doghead. Problem is its the same fuel solenoid/pump. I only changed the compressor. I don't even see that sensor where yours is plugged in.
Also, the truck ran perfect two days ago before the compressor change......
??
OK, I put a new compressor in today, and put everything back the way I found it, I think. But after priming the fuel system the solenoid starts smoking bad when trying to start. I also have a harness that I don't remember unhooking, and in the pics I took I really can't see that it hookked to...
Seats
Man I wanted a pair of those USSC seats...I sasw them somewhere for sale and then couldn't find them again.....That's exactly what I am hoping to do...
I've searched for a good thread and couldn't find one so.....I am considering relocating the batteries for my M923 to the outside (2 or 4 batteries, still not sure). Has anyone completed this yet? I don't need the outside box as much as the floor space for a better seat install for my beautiful...
Green is primary (rear ) brakes, red is secondary (front) brakes. Black is accessory air. Yellow (if you see it) is traditionally for governor air signal.
