Means rocks really like getting stuck in the tread. My son and daughter spend an hour picking the rocks out of my G177's. They had a ton of fun. Forget Disneyland, I'll just run my 923 through some nice river rock and they'll be set;-)
Joe it looks like the same parking brake shoes goes on all the deuces (A2/A3) and 5 tons (M809 and M939 series). I checked out Eriks and a couple other parts houses. They list the parking brake as the same on all these trucks.
Just found the exact same page online. Here's the link.
FIG.434 RIFLE MOUNTING
Thinking back to Home Depot. They did have a T bracket in the electrical dept that may fit the bill. Just need to hammer the bracket to a 90 degree angle and it should work.
Roger that Darwin, the actual rifle mount is the same as what's in the deuce and all the military trucks. Just need pics of the bracket that mounts to the upper mount. I can just make one but want to keep close to what the military one looks like;-).
I was going to make some L brackets...
To verify if you have an air shift or not. Look for the actuator assy on the transfer case (circled it for you;-) ). If you have this, then you do have an airshift;-)
MTVR ladder order and other stuff
Yesterday I got two more orders for the 923.
I have been working on getting a specific boarding ladder for my truck. The one I was after was the one used on the USMC 7 ton Medium Tactical Replacement Vehicle (MTVR). Originally, I planned on buying one from C&C...
I do have a pics;-). There are two differnent mounts in the pic but they're both for the same function. I plan on mounting these on my 923. Seems that having rifle mounts on the doors make more sense. If a guy had to bail out of the truck in combat situation, seems grabbing the rifle on the way...
Anyone have pics of rifle mounts on their doors? I bought some HEMTT door mount brackets for the buttock mount. I need to find a pic of the upper bracket so I can fabricate something.
What the truck lacks in power up hills, it makes up in smoke;-). Nothing like rollin' coal up those grades. That carbon signature definately puts a grin on my face;-)
Here you go my friend. Just pics of various mounts but no radios.

You're good to go to change out the filters without having to worry about the oil. Just don't start your truck up and then change the filters;-). You'll have a nice mess on your hands.
Looks very familiar..check out post 245

Yikes Scott! Have you noticed your hubs warming up after you've driven your truck? I have made it a habit of shooting my hubs with an ir gun after I've ran her for this very reason. Luckily no one got hurt...whew!
Hey Ed, Peter (Amer-Team) made mention of this in one of the threads....not sure which one. He's got the contact info, info on fuel reimbursement etc. He'd be the go to guy for info on this event. I'm scheduled to work that weekend.
Thanks. For me, this is one of reasons I own these green machines;-) It's a little bit of a challenge when it's pouring rain, like it is today. My work station is under the elements laying on 3/4" black gravel...soaked black gravel:). I'm sitting here just dripping from laying in the many mud...
