Troubleshooting Day....
Ok today and most of yesterday was dedicated to troubleshooting. Top of the agenda was finding out why my Parking Brake Light/Alarm wouldn't shut off, why my truck won't shift into Lo/Hi Range with 120 PSI in the system, and lastly why my front axle wouldn't engage...
OK, seems whenever the tranny was replaced, soldier A or B simply just connected a bunch of wires in whatever order. I unplugged about 6 wires that were incorrect. I referred to the TM and correctly connected the wires as they should. Now I can shift my transfer case Hi/Lo with 120 PSI. The...
The unconnected wire comes out of the capacitor (long ruber looking black cylinder). There are a total of 5 wires coming out of this thing. They're all connected to something except this male connector.:-?
Hmm, it appears I have a missing connection going to the capacitor. Can anyone verify? From the TM it appears both the transfer case lever switch wires are suppose to go to this thing. Not sure if there was a MWO or some kind of update that moved the wire elsewhere. I traced the two wires on my...

Thanks John, roger that! I've been working all weekend and haven't been able to do anymore projects on her:shock:. I did lower the solargizer tower down about 12 inches. I used a swinging bracket to raise/point the solargizer in the direction of the sun. I'll have to post pics later as I'm ready...
Here's what I found via search (hope the info is correct):
Here is a brief red light legend for the Solargizer
Red light on solid = working at full strength (full sunshine on solar panel)
Red light blinking = working at partial strength (shaded or partial sun)
Red light off = not working...
Thanks Peter. I'm having a ton of fun with this project.
Roger that, you're the second SS to contact me about the brackets. I'll keep my eyes open.
You're welcome. I try to provide as many pics and details for other's to follow if they wish. This project has been a blast. I'm nearing the...
