Re: Carnage in mississippi !!!!!!
Okay update, if you want big parts and I have not talked to you by phone, call me today the Steel mill is going to take any heavy pieces that are not called for tomorrow! They are going to crush the cabs and cut the axles and motors and haul them off. If you...
Okay I have had both on 5tons and deuces, I prefer the 177's to me the ride is not much different if any and the wear on 177's is unbeaten by any military tire. I also think the 177's are better off the road. As to the rubbing there's two different offset rims, that may be on the deuce from what...
Jw4x4 that is the air cleaner behind the step on the passenger side, wonder why? Why not put it in the same place as the 939 series? What's under the driver side door?
This is funny me and Wreckerman were just talking about building something similar. I see a Tulsa winch, how about the frame is it M35a2 or five ton? Also see a control box bet it is same as 939. Great truck! More pictures please.
Do you have the defrost vent modification? It is just a piece of sheet metal bent and bolted over the vent in the deuce and 809 series cabs to help improve air flow to the windshield.
Emmett one thing to remember is laws are Written by lawyers and revised to include or exclude any such loopholes as what you point out. They would have said any government owned vehicles are exempted if they only wanted to cover the Gi's . A ambulance is still an ambulance if it is privately...
I was sent this same info by the head enforcement officer of the state of Florida when I asked if I could bring my military antique taged tractor to pickup my 40foot Van trailer from Stark he said as long as I was not using it for a money making business I did not need a cdl in Florida. So even...
Doolest not sure you will like the 14.00 over the 11.00 in the sand I have some time with both on sand and if your truck is going to stay off road I think my choice would be 395's up front and 11.00 duals in back or, 395's or 14.00's all the way around duals in rear.
Garret I like the truck and the ones who are saying you ruined a good Hemtt are just blowing hot air, I don't see any major modifications that can't be undone, like bobbing a deuce. All that would need to be done to return it original would be pull off the added bits, right?
Also Zilla the hubs on the rear of a 939 series truck looks like the one one the left not the front hub you are showing on the right, show the rear hubs and the other side of them and we can have some useful information about the rear hubs as to if they can flip.
Good hope the wife doesn't beat you up to bad, tell her it's my fault you had to stay so late. Hope everybody had as good of a day as I did and all are welcome back anytime, met some new folks and some that I have known awhile had six or seven people come by had a few that wanted to but life got...
