Okay to break it down, because it is clear as mud, on a operator engaged transfercase you can run different sizes in front or rear just don't engage on solid ground, on sprague transfercase you need same sizes front and rear or smaller front tires so that the tc is not engaging going down the road.
Okay I hate to eat crow but sometimes we do. The Sprague will let the rear turn a very small amount more than the front but only until the Sprague locks and then it is one to one. This next part for the sprague transfercase is wrong(And the ratio is one to one with it unlocked so the only time...
Okay as to flipping hubs I will say that to the best of my knowledge I would say 939, 939a1 should be able to flip have not played with a2 enough to say but can find out.
Do you have hawkers if so hook a good battery up positive to positive and negative to negative and use a agm charger and you might get them back. There are threads on here about these batteries.
Yes I have a stack of good fifth wheels that I can let you have your pick of and while your here get some other parts to fix up your truck, intake, exhaust, and others. Come and get it before it all goes to south east Asia!

I don't think WM was awake yet when he posted that whacky idea, don't sandblast it you are likely to leave some behind use a rust remover like GE suggested and rinse it out well before putting back to use. It only needs replacement if it has a hole in it or the baffle is bad. Yes I have several...
Juan that's not totally true, most don't but some do I have seen about a dozen that had them hooked up not sure why but seems to me that they had them and then most were removed. This just my observation, but as bad as these trucks are to say they are hot and not be it might make sense to remove...
Okay just read all of this and in three years or more no one has answered the question of what makes the differences. Some have posted parts that are listed as different, and some have cited those parts on both engines. As to rebuilt engines the military does dyno them, there's one at Camp...
He was talking in a early post of using a small starter tank of straight diesel to start and shutdown on. And if you don't over fill your main tank to begin with it will hold a little extra, and you don't want to put the thick stuff back in your little tank.
