I think he's referring to the H-161 headset. It has a bail out cable so you don't have to remove the headset or the cables from the control boxes. It has a junction in the cable that allows you to disconnect and reconnect. H-161A/U Headset

I contacted Red River Army Depot about their "rebuild" program with the M939 series trucks. They apparently DO NOT rebuild the trucks there. They have a list of replacable that they concentrate on like coolant hoses, belts, etc. They apparently do repaint the engines flat black but do not...

You would know if there was harm done. Going in lo/reverse can bust your transfer case in two with the right circumstances...err wrong circumstances. I've heard of guys having issues with the linkage going to the transfer case. I believe it is more or less due to lack of use. Also, another guy...

DO NOT back with the transfer case in Low range...way too much torque. Many trucks do have a lock out mod. Bring your RPMs down before shifting to reverse.
