I burned some 30yr old diesel not too long ago. Had to filter out the black crud 4 times. There isn't any free water because the biologics are hording it all to multiply!
Waller is right about that hole between 3rd and 4th. No matter the tire size or engine power, the only thing that will help that is a transmission swap. Swapping the transmission will not gain you top speed, however. It might increase your average speed, by keeping the engine in the power band...
Bjorn,
Nice to finally meet you in person and Adrian. Glad the trip was uneventful. I wanted to come over and chat with you some more but I was already running late.
Always a pleasure helping someone out. Did that fella with the blown oil filter get it fixed before you left the gas station?
I can borrow a friends trailer to bring the FARM tractor to bushhog, still waiting on an answer if I need to plan to do it or not. I sold the tractor with a deal already in place so that I can borrow it for the GA rally.
As much as I hate to, I think I'll be selling my complete VIC-1 setup out...
I had an early XM211 and my 1in pins fit just fine?
Definitly want to see pics when you get them loaded. The tires are worth more than what you are paying for the truck IMHO
I lubricate mine with air. and water, and carry over oil from the compressor. Actually the last time I had to oil one I used SAE 30wgt oil, as I had some in a oil can. :grd:
I owned a 3k Clark propane lift for a long time, hauled it home on a 10k equipment trailer. I looked at making a 353 trailer into a trailer for it, and it would fit just right between the wheels with a little room left over. The lift weighed 6800lbs. Problem then was I could't really pull it...
I will definitly be getting a set prior to next July, to put in the m109 for the trip to AK. That'll be a good test for it, pretty much 12k miles round trip...
I think they can swab the stack too, or pull filters.
All I'm saying WM, is if you have the FREE license, it doesn't matter one way or the other if they pull you- you are in the clear. Think of it like your insurance card- hope you don't need it but if you do it is there.
