    Avoid mixed fuel fines....

Not true. I have a Miscellaneous Motor Fuel License which allows me to burn anything flammible (including red died 'off-road' diesel) as long as I report the gallons used on a monthly basis and pay the road tax portion per gallon. Of course, if I pay the taxes on the fuel, it no longer becomes...

    Lolly-Pop lights

:ditto: The lollipops came about because they were required in Europe to face backwards for other drivers to see the turn indication. I'm sure that some CONUS units installed them as well, because it does help if you do a lot of driving. Try moving over when someone is pacing you... Not to...

    Source for Optimas

I have one that spend 3 days under saltwater in a Navy boat. It's 11 years old and still fires anything I put it in right up. Find a battery warehouse and as for blemished batteries. It's a long shot, the place near me has gotten so popular that you can hardly get them. I paid $60 each for...

    Road trip to Alaska

Branan, Sounds good! The more the merrier. I would like to invite anyone who would like to convoy with us either all, part, or a fraction of the way, to do so. I'm still waiting for the fellas at the Canadian Border Services Agency to respond to my question about bringing a trailer full of WVO...

    Chatroom Broken?

Your right Eric, But it's not just me 'at work', there are many other members here who are deployed, who want to chat, who have to go through the same filters I do. I also agree that making long threads about the problems are not doing anything but taking up server space. I'm going to start...

    Chatroom Broken?

Ah, and why are we not on the old chat that was pretty user friendly to all, military, and dial up?

    Road trip to Alaska

Yes Westy, but I don't want to fall over dead when I get there! I also plan to stop and see some of this great country of ours, and visit with many SS members. No concrete dates yet, but the trip is still on for next year, leaving at the end of July. I've gotten all the radials on the...

    M35A3 TRANSMISSION Problem..

Didn't want to start a new thread, but wanted to ask a question- I picked up an A3 (not for me) and I'm trying to get it driving correctly. As of right now, it will work as intended in Reverse, goes backwards slowly in N, and does nothing in D, 3, 2, or 1. Anyone with any experiance with these...

    Say TTFN to the M60!

Figure about 10k total for rail transport across country. The problems are: -a chance of vandalism when it is sitting in yards, unless you can find an enclosed car to load it in or work out with the railroads to make sure it gets parked where the yard tower or office is so they can kind of...

    Starter switch upgrade

I got one of the new switches once, and it was super cheap chinese junk. Worked for a week. Got a replacement, same thing, sent it right back.

    blinker problem m818

I would pull the cannon plug off the back of the directional switch, make sure the pins are clean and the wires going into the plug are intact. And do the same with the flasher box, located under the hood. If that doesn't help, see if you can borrow one off another truck and swap flashers and...

New to me fuel storage tanks

Colors for identification wouldn't really be an issue, I have mine painted sliver roof paint, and just labeled well. Screw on some big funnels with lids and paint them contrasting colors so you have a little reminder before you pour. 2 in pipe with sufficiant cross bracing should work well.
