The way we approached this when a set had this problem, or under pressure was to drain the oil, and fill the crank case up with ATF. Run it 15-30 min, and drain the ATF out and change the filter. 99% or the time this helped fix the problem, and gave the engine a real good cleaning out.
I chased a problem on a 60 KW for months. It ran a week, it ran 5 min, it ran a day, it ran 20 sec, it ran 2 weeks, and so on. Then shut off. You have a problem in the set. Its not going to go away. Its not going to fix itself. Sooner or later, its going to drive you crazy. You need to find it.
Any qualitative guidance on the rubber mounts? Again, the engine one I can poke my fingernail into. The Generator housing one, I can't. Should that be the case?
