So I came up with a way to deal with this issue. I planed some oak pieces down to 2 1/2x 7/8x16" (one I planed down to 3/4" thick because one of the pockets was dented in and narrower). Then I put a pan head screw in the center of one end. Before cutting them down to 16" long, I put the piece...
Yep, just like that. I just scraped off the biggest chunks of paint that were flaking, and shot some OD green spray paint to camouflage the dirt and rust for the Veteran's Day parade this Sunday. I'll probably move that tire to the inside or switch it out as I have several spares.
At least one of the rims on my deuce has rivets in it, when did they switch to a welded rim? Mine is a '71. I'll be going through all the rims and tires this winter to clean an paint them, I have a few spares, so I might switch that one out. Just wondering how old that rim is. It does have a...
Digging up an old thread here, but our maintenance section had our parts and tool deuce with extra tall bows. We had parts and tool cabinets in it, and the rear end was actually framed in with 2x4's and plywood, with a steel door like you'd have for a house framed in. There was steel mesh on...
I have historical tags. The guy I bought it from had truck tags, but the DMV women up here were so effing clueless, I just settled for historic tags. I have to keep it under a 200 mile radius of travel, or it's a higher rate.
I couldn't listen to that guy anymore... I don't think his gushing about the truck could get any more fake.
First off, this truck is butt ugly. Only 200 mile range, and I bet that's unloaded. Zero armor, it'll never see the front line, you can take "tactical" out of the name. Just because...
Supposedly from the sources I've seen, this system can filter down to 0.5 microns or more, which should be more than fine. I think I've seen some people say that they only filter down to 5 microns.
OK, so I got it all set up! But I'm going to wait for warmer weather to fire it up, I don't want to have to heat up the oil when it's only 30 degrees. I'd like to not spend a bunch on electricity to heat the oil when I can get mother nature to help for free. When I get it up and running, I'll...
LOOKY WHAT I JUST GOT!!!!!
Got it from PA Biodiesel Supply. It's a 120 GPH centrifuge unit, complete with everything, just have to pick up a couple of drums tomorrow morning. I also have a thermostat control coming so I can limit the maximum heat from the band heater. It's 1300w, so...
