Thats what I saw when I looked at the pictures in post #6.
Thats why post #5 is always the first step. Check the wiring against the schematic. And when ever the S7 will not bypass a fault, CHECK THE WIRES.
Clean looking set!

Have you down loaded all the TM's for this set?
Have you ever seen this set work right?
Or is it new to you?
If its new, look for the diode on S5, like Kurt wrote, but ALSO, check to see if the S5 is wired correctly.
Experience. The best teacher. Experience, under pressure. BAD things happen. But you learned. Thats the main thing. I have one or two small scars on my hands from just this experience.
These were all, "hand made" as far as I remember. Every unit built them as they saw fit. We had 3 of our 5, M146 trailers moded that way. And all were a bit different from one another. Lots of good shots of the 3/52 ADA Hawk unit. Where did you get the pictures.
When needing help for a specific vehicle, you should start a thread in the forum for that vehicle, and not in the conversation forum. This way you get better help and more visibility. I will move the thread for you.
Also, it would be a very good idea to change your title, to something else...
Very common problem with most trailers of this type. The M200A1 had it bad. It was rare we ever got one apart without replacing the lunette and hardware.
Ziggy, Acableguy,
You are going to have a problem sending a PM. Due to a rule change, you do not have a enough posts to do that yet. Send Patracy a PM and he will help you out.
After the motor Sergeant made me remove, charge, and replace the batteries in our M813 a few times, I made a real effort to learn how to correctly use the three lever switch. Perhaps some "Extra Training" is needed. I still know how it works, and have not seen one since 2010.
