My all time favorite was a cordless impact that I dug out of the trash, in Schweinfurt. With case and two batteries to go along with it. Made by Dewalt, (I believe Dewalt was bought by Bosch?) it is long out of production. But what a great tool.
The TM tells you to replace the lock washers...
I normally used an impact wrench to remove the fasteners. I only used a torque wrench to do Turbine gen sets. But would say you can use a torque wrench putting fasteners back on. In the military, we always had VERY good torque wrenchs. Snapon, for instance. After my stink as a contractor, that...
You got lots of good info and help here in your thread. If I had to pick the two most important, that would be message #8 and #7. Getting smart, (#8) before doing anything on the truck should always be high on your list. Systematically going through, (#7) a system, like brakes, is always best...

40th E? I worked on two HEMMT's A3 Tankers back in 2009 or 2010? Replaced the transfers. Had not been in Baumholder in 25 years. Not a lot had changed. Thats where my Father in Law did "Basic" in 1941. All the stone buildings had not changed he said, in 1980. Place is still open and some more...
Where are you working? Inside or out? If inside, and the building is sturdy enough, then you have a quick and dirty way. Ring in the roof and a come along/chain fall.
Why no! Never did it before in my life.
Take the control panel off. Take the rest of the box off. Take anything off that gets in your way first. Then get someone to use a forklift or tractor, like LITD wrote.
This kind of a lift might work. Its supposed to be 2 tons lift. After all, you...
