Okay, in response to the original question, I'd go with the A2. Why? well if you're gonna be pulling people out a winch would be handy. plus the money you saved not buying the A3 will give you lots of money for upgrades and spare parts and tools. I know the A3 is "newer", but I've seen a lot...
I've been trying to price a cargo covers, but I've not found many out there, and prices seem to kind of all over the place. One place had them for $1200, but it includes a complete set of bows which I don't need. Another place has them for$1200 and specifically states that none of the bows are...
You could easily hit the Badlands and Wall drug off of I-90. You can SEE the Black hills from the Badlands on most days, so it's not too far. LOTS of stuff to do around Rapids City. It's especially green around there this year, they've had a lot of rain this year, I just got back from Pine...
They have doors, they're just sliding doors and they leave them locked open so they can jump in and out faster. And so the ladies can admire their calves when they wear shorts.
Hurtlec, at least those tires and rims got turned into DRMO, instead of getting burned or buried. I guess it sucks when work interrupts some peoples' day. You wouldn't believe what I saw go on over "there". aua:soapbox:
Don't forget that great smell!
That's the second thing I think of after that turbo whistle! The smell reminds me of the many hours I spend driving one to and from Camp Grayling Mi., when the military wasn't so PC. I love that somewhat musty canvas and oil smell. Reminds me of the...
A 1,000 MILES?!? Just exactly which continent are you gonna be on? But no matter where, a duece sounds like what you need. You can always add an extra fuel tank and carry spare parts in add on compartments.
Well. I bought two so I have one that will fit on the new one if I have a problem. I have the second one set up to accept an air hose, but I could just unscrew the air chuck if I had to hook up a trailer that doesn't fit. I didn't notice any pin though.
Well I got a ball valve at Lowe's out of the plumbing dept., It works-no leak now. It's not nearly as heavily built as the orginal part, don't know how it would hold up if I had a trailer hooked up all the time. It should be ok though. I went to Advance for the glad hand, they don't carry...
I found the air leak, the valve for the emergency side glad hand got bent back when the truck got backed into a tree. It's the brass shut off valve so its the weakest link back there. It made the threads on one end oval and it's also been cross threaded so the part is toast. Have any of you...
Pretty much only the military consistanly makes you shut it down when fueling diesel. Pretty much everyone else realizes there's virtually no chance of starting a fire just from fueling with diesel. We do shut down our fire apparatus at the pumps, mostly to be a good example and so we can hear...
I would think it would be easy with an M36 since the frame in the rear is extended well past the rear, and if it had the winch extention in the front it would just be a matter of fabbing up some mounting brackets. With an M35 you could probably extend the frame and bed to get the extra space...
Around here, I think you'd get fined for taking a vehicle in a river like that. And if you ever had you vehicle go throught the ice on lake Erie, you'd have to pay for a marker buoy until they could get a barge out to lift it from the bottom, which you pay for also. :(
