    T-case low range question

I haven't had time to look underneath much since I just got it. I imagine some flexion from the torque in the drive train would be normal and could result in slight movement of the shift levers. The odometer shows less than 27K (But I know that could be inaccurate) so hopefully there's not any...

    T-case low range question

Okay, so's ya'll know, I did search for this first there just isn't much on it. I drove the deuce just a little, put it in low so I could shift some gears. It doesn't seem to want to go into low very easy. I can feel the detents, but they seem weak on going into low. The handel moves up and...

    Home sweet home!!

I need the tailgate open, not the side bashed in!! I saw his new stencil on the door!

    Home sweet home!!

Yeah, the previous owners "friends" got it stuck and tried backing over a 12" tree. :( I just want to get it to open for now. I think I'll end up getting a new one eventually. I think I can use a hydraulic jack and Porta-Power to straighten out the rest.

    Home sweet home!!

Here's another pic going through downtown Hamilton Oh., turned a lot of heads going through town! The only thing close to a mishap was the rubber rope broke on one side of the tarp. We secured it before it became a real problem.

    Home sweet home!!

Well I got it home safe and sound, mainly due to the fine assistance of one Mr. Gimpy. (Well OK, he did about 99.9% of it) I think I saw somewhere on here that someone made the comment that he is well respected on this site, I second that. I got to spread some gravel and wait for it to dry...

    Finally!!!

I'm like you, a new owner and very excited. I'm a bit nervous too, 'cause I don't have it home yet. I tend to worry about my stuff when it's out of sight. I gotta get a cord for my phone so I can post pics.

    CUCV's And CARC

Kinda ironic that CARC is probably more of a risk than the CBRNE is was meant to protect against.

Mind if my boy has a look at your truck?

    Priceless!![thumbzup]

    Watch out for straps

Yup, not just from the cable either. We had a woman killed on the outerbelt a few years ago when a tow truck driver used a snatch block too small to retrieve a semi. I think it was rated at 10k. It flew apart under the load and went through her windshield as she drove by killing her. They...

    Watch out for straps

I've always been told to drape a large floor mat or heavy blanket over the cable to help dampen the recoil if it fails. Unless you have a fairlead roller, ALWAYS pull with the reel directly lined up with whatever you're pulling. NEVER wrap the cable around itself or hook onto itself, it weakens...

Military Fire Extinguishers and their refilling...

Just an FYI to everyone, if you get an ABC dry chemical extinguisher, get one with a metal top not plastic. The ones with plastic discharge valves are disposable and CANNOT be refilled. I don't trust them to hold up to rough environments either. And go BIG, the ones the size of spray cans are...

    Watch out for straps

Just a whole lot of poor planning in that video. The buildings should have been dismantled or torn down with the normal backhoe or trackhoe. Just because it looks cool doesn't mean you should do it.

    Driving it home

The master cylinder has a slow leak, and the lights are iffy. The wife is already miffed that I'm buying it, and putting a charge on the credit cards for a tow truck would really tick her off since we got those all paid off.

    Driving it home

I say old Bean, I'm quite well versed in the King's English. However from time to time I do slip into the vernacular of the younger crowd. It does keep me "hip" and "with it" don't you know. :-P

    Driving it home

Somebody axed me if I was afraid of being pulled over driving it home. I'm not afraid of being pulled over, it's the tazed, shot, maced, incarcerated, and fined heavily thing....

    What's up with the Avatar?

Hey got your message before the thread got poofed, I got drill tomorrow so after 5 would be good to call.

    Driving it home

I'm buying it, but it's never been titled. It was used on a farm so they didn't need one (the original buyer) The guy I'm buying it from is on leave so I have a time issue to get it moved. Don't think I can get it insured if it ain't got a title yet.

    What's up with the Avatar?

Seems like several people have the same of of a guy in a dirty brown tee with glasses and a mustache. Jasonjc, Westec, and a few others have it. Who's the guy? Just kinda wondering, is it a tribute or something? On one thread, every Avatar was the same and I thought at first someone was...

    Driving it home

So hopefully this ain't a duplicate thread, don't want to get water boarded. But anyways, got a couple of people that suggested that I just drive my duece home, even though it doesn't have a title or plates. Some have said that they've done it. I just can't see that being a worthwhile...
