I recently found some glow plugs in a surplus shop. I researched the NSN and they came up a HMMWV glow plugs. Does anyone know if they might fit a CUCV 6.2? I thought I would ask before I bought one to try it out....
Thank you so much for this information! I have captured this info into my M1009 Blazer file. Your knowledge is UNMATCHED. You are a warehouse of valuable information.
CUCVRUS... Thank you for quick response. I tinkered with this plug all day, tracing it into the cab and under the dash. At first I thought it went to the Glow Plug PCB, but with my continuity tester I ruled it out. I then decided to check the small plug that branched off of the PCB wiring...
Hello all... I have been working on my 1986 M1009. While working on my glow plug wiring harness, I discovered this plug.
The wire is Blue with a Red chaser and it goes into this round plug. As best that I can tell, the wire comes from the block that holds the Glow Plug Circuit Board, but...
CUCVRUS... Where can I get this radiator? The radiator in my M1009 has been repaired a few times and I am guessing that it might need to be replaced. I would also need the rubber supports in your other picture. Any assistance you can provide will be greatly appreciated.

I recently bought an M1009 that will need a great deal of work. I have been plugging away at it, a little each day. I noticed a few things that I wasn't quite sure about, so I took some pictures. If any of you can provide some insight, I would greatly appreciate it.
This clip is attached to...
I would like to install a radio/CD player in my M1009. I thought this was going to be simple, but after reading your post I can see that I could have made a HUGE mistake. The step down regulator seems to make the most sense, but I don't know where to get one. I imagine that when I find one...
That is an AWESOME looking CUCV. I don't see anything amiss in the photo's. I too just purchased an 86 M1009 and mine is in a much rougher condition than yours. I was intrigued by the "Ammo Can" concept you described in your post. Do you have a set of plans for this "attachment"? I would...
