Question about diesel fuel in the crankcase

RE: Re: RE: Question about diesel fuel in the crankcase Yes, item "FF" in the image can rather easily be replaced, don't know if that's the leak, though, but if the FDC is out of the circuit, there isn't much left.

Question about diesel fuel in the crankcase

Re: RE: Question about diesel fuel in the crankcase Hmm...a leaking flame heater nozzle could create hydrostatic lock, but there is no pressure when the engine is off and any leakage here when the engine is running would mix with the air and burn....unless I missed something... Make sure...

    M813A1 "Black Box" Question

Wayne, you may be referring to the 25 amp regulator, I think the issue here is the "Protective Control Box". This box contains the starter relay (normally a separate item), the reverse polarity protection relay and some control circuitry, which monitors the engine oil pressure (lock-out switch)...

    Push button light switch

Re: RE: Push button light switch You can always provide a backup circuit by installing a separte override switch for the headlights. I overloaded the built-in circuit breaker one time and it's no fun driving without any lights at all. I made sure it wouldn't happen again. :-)

The start of a return to OD green!

David Doyle can tell you all about this, but if you want the Vietnam era OD semi gloss, Aervoe 24084 (997B) is almost a perfect match..... Think FS595A or FS595B.

    Ether Start Kit on Ebay

There are different grades of Nylon tubing, check McMasters for spec. Like Lee stated "Nylon 11" or brakeline tubing would be best, cheaper than an oil gauge kit also....

Can a Deuce pull a Deuce?

"Then on another weird question, can you sipe the tires to get better traction in the snow? I make tire sipers for dirt track cars and was wondering if anyone has tried it on the military tires?" I think tire siping is a good thing, haven't done any testing per se, but have almost 5,000...

    Calling All Gauge Inthusiasts

I like my gauges, when you are out on the road they keep you informed and give you a sense of security, the more the better. The boost gauge is a useful trouble shooting tool by itself, the boost follows the EGT mostly. Plumb it to the the 1/8 NPT port on the intake manifold adapter. A gauge on...

    Abnormal 3-lever light switch

RE: Re: RE: Abnormal 3-lever light switch While driving, it would be rare to need to use the locking lever, at least in my case, I turn it on before getting on the road and flipping the "dimmer" (lower left) lever lets me turn the head lights on and off without using the locking lever, good...
