NC Rally BBQ Convoy Friday Night

I'll be in the convoy, but now that I think about it, I'm better suited as rear guard. I've just completed the lighting kit upgrades on the truck (thanks LightTheWayNC.com) I have amber strobes and such facing rear.

HMMWV M1038 Won't start after running fine??

Just making sure, it won't start if the transmission is in gear. Due to personal experience while in service, that's the first thing I ALWAYS check.

    Several M998 doubts

Service intervals can be found in the TMs. They state a time period or mileage for replacement of fluids and certain items. Army would do annual services in which fluids were replaced for Active component vehicles. Reserve/NG component may have services done every 2 years instead.

So that's what that is... I have one of the power supply pieces with a fold down bracket, never chased down what it was though.

M322 LT , Between Phoenix and Flagstaff.

Had two delivered via UShip, no real issues (Delay on one due to a blown tire, not abnormal). Loaded out on UShip a few times. As long as it was the right equipment it worked fine. (was fortunate and had access to a loading dock). Biggest issue was drivers (even 18-wheel pros) not knowing...

M1088A1 - All Service Brakes will not release

This is why you are supposed to drain the air tanks daily, and then close the valves. If moisture gets into the air lines it can freeze and create issues. The more likely (and dangerous) problem is when it freezes and holds the drums so they don't apply the brakes... suddenly you can't stop...

M322 LT , Between Phoenix and Flagstaff.

First, Thanks! (not OP), but this is what SteelSoldiers is about. Helping each other! BRob18E, advantage, your trailer is in an area that you could get a heavy wrecker and a flatbed next to it without many issues. But Fasttruck is right, that thing could disappear quickly. Fasttruck, I...

    1976 m880?

Well, you're about a year too late now. I used to have access to a system that I could check VINs and find the last assigned unit. However, that capability is gone.

What Used to Be on my Hood?

Makes sense to me. Also makes sense as to why you normally see them on the brush guards.

What Used to Be on my Hood?

Looks like installation is actually covered in TB 43-0209, 31 OCT 1990 (available via https://liw.logsa.army.mil/etmapp/#/etm/search ) ----

What Used to Be on my Hood?

Didn't catch you were still stateside. 7th TB(X) out of Ft. Eustis is probably a better bet.
