Michael, the only difference would be the fuel delivery and it's adjustable.
The LDS465-2 has a different pump, fuel density comp and hydraulic head.
Maybe somebody else can chime in and confirm this for your satisfaction.
About posting in the "wrong" category, it happens all the time, it's a...
Problem is to find the correct shear pin, in my case for the xm757 front winch. The NSN is 5315-00-880-5861, which for some reason is different from the other 5-ton truck winches.
Meanwhile I'm checking on different aluminum alloys.....it's a matter of coming up with the math formula that...
Vintage Video has a VHS video (#151) titled "Study in Vehicle Mobility" showing various MVs under off road conditions at the Aberdeen Proving Grounds. They don't install chains, BTW. Makes for interseting viewing.
For the oil, I use pneumatic tool lube oil, it it squirted into the large air chamber of the airpak and mixes with the air to lubricate the valves in the control section of the unit.
For stuck pipe plugs, I have been successful with an impact wrench used with a tight fitting socket and with care.

Congrats Chris! Don't know how I missed this thread, too busy working on my own 5-ton truck tractor, I guess. :-)
David is correct about the exhaust brake, an easy add-on that helps improve the braking on long down hill runs, used it a lot while traveling across the Rocky Mountains...

Edit: Found your posts...

This is not a problem at the moment, just planning ahead..
When my solenoid (contactor portion) failed last year, I ended up replacing the starter AND the solenoid, would that be the normal procedure on the multifuel engines or has any of you replaced the solenoid alone leaving the starter...
I now have an extra Bendix set, including jar, holder, 1/8" copper tubing, adapter for the compressor and hardware. $25.00 included shipping within the continental US.
Paypal payment ships it on Monday, PM me for details.
TIA
Great deal! If I can give you one advise it would be to save all the parts, switches, knobs, weird stuff in the bed, tool box or on the cab floor etc, and I mean all because one day when you figure it all out it's the little things that will slow you down.
The heater control on the left side of...
Okay, the MS connectors used by the military are standardized, have been for decades.
Judging from the size, the needed mating male connectors is MS3106A22-23P and if you want a cable clamp. its number is MS (or AN) 3057-12A.
The diameter of the insert should be 1.00 inches (25.4 mm) for this...
