    Cut Away Display M151A1

Based on the cut away stuff I've seen, they painted the cut lines yellow and red and white... is that what you're referring to?

    thinking of buying second mv

There are HMMWVs that were legally sold and titled for road use prior to the Gov Planet sales. These are legal unless states (one has, CT I think) have reversed those actions/titles.

head lights, blinkers, and brake lights wont work... M998

Soak it in PB Blaster, or something similar... then get in the truck and kick it... If your turn signals aren't flashing I think it's the sender unit on the column. Do the hazards work? Wait for someone a tad more familiar to confirm the part diagnosis.

head lights, blinkers, and brake lights wont work... M998

Try pressuring the Lock lever as you mess with the Service Drive switch. you might be able to feel the mechanics inside the switch work. If the only options you are able to get is the BO Light / BO Drive you won't get the normal lights. IF not, you'll need a new switch. You can read over the...

Remember to disconnect the batteries before doing anything... personally I take them out half the time... I hate vehicle electrical.

    Bumper re-stenciling - which TM?

There's not a recent coloring TM. I was doing some research a few years ago when I was in, regarding the National Star. The TM that covered this was so old, it had actually expired (20 or 25 years IIRC). I notified the proponent agency, but nothing has been published since.

    thinking of buying second mv

Honestly? it sounds like some of the problems are pretty fixable. Parts are available (as you know). I'd be going for it if I had the cash.

    Tailgate Shipment Ideas?

I used fastenal for shipping of Dodge tailgates. The guy who I bought it from strapped them to a pallet and used scrap cardboard to insulate the tailgate from the straps. It is preferred to be on a "fork-lift-able" setup, whether an actual pallet or simply on raised blocks. I loved shipping...

    Dodge 882 project truck

It can take it just fine. The power steering is one of the most desirable upgrades for the M880/M890 series of vehicles, next would be A/C. Mine came upgraded. If you really don't want it, Rich M882 would be willing to swap! haha.

Another DUWK accident - Woman killed

Well, the picture is not in an intersection, but possible that it happened prior to one. They did also add the "bubble" mirrors to assist, but they wouldn't eliminate the blind spot just in front of the lip.

How many digits in a 1990 HMMWV VIN?

military vehicles, unless they are commercially bought (Ex: M880/M890 series, CUCVs) will not have a standard 17 digit VIN. Edit: Except M1070s apparently

    Dodge 882 project truck

Welcome! Love the trucks, got a 77 myself and have a good thread on it. Parts. I'd recommend checking facebook groups for the old dodges. There's a few national pages that have guys stripping/selling etc... check into the behr paint recommendations on this board. Simple, cheap, and...

    Dan's M1081 Pick-up and Build

Yeah, it's loud, but it's to prevent dumb private from starting to drive the truck like that and getting in an accident.

    Dan's M1081 Pick-up and Build

Dan, the sound is your low air alarm. There's a little "German cross" or "Radiation symbol" looking plastic speaker cover thing about the size of a half dollar just above your steering column, cover that and it will get quieter. It won't turn off until you reach 120 PSI though the whole...

Denton NC MV & Surplus Show 14-16 April 2016

Everyone, thank you for a great time. I had a ton of fun and good times. It was nice seeing some faces and trucks again. Next year I hopefully won't be leaving town so quick and will do some of the Uwaharee trails and such. The convoy was a blast and seeing the trucks stretched out was...
