What have you done to your HMMWV today/lately

I'm not sure what you mean, the horn button is labeled HORN right on the face of the unit. Are you talking about the horn-ring function, where you hit the horn button on the steering wheel and the siren or airhorn sound? It has that, and I used it in the M1009 but will not use it in the HMMWV...

What have you done to your HMMWV today/lately

It's a 12v model that has two 100 watt outputs. I run it through a 12v power supply (I forget the brand - it's a blue box that does 70amps?). I have no idea what the siren unit draws but it isn't that much; they recommend a 30amp fuse. This is the siren unit I had in my M1009 previously...

The knob is lockwired to disable the siren tones- only airhorn works. The MAN button with the knob in RAD just tests the speakers, no sound is audible.

What have you done to your HMMWV today/lately

Ah, running wire.... Gotta love it. The center table has many wire bundles running up the legs now. With the speakers installed out front, it was time to mount the siren/PA controller and run the wires. With two 100 watt outputs to two speakers, the Whelen is LOUD. Its too loud from the...

Added a couple things to the front end in preparation for the siren install.

I don't know about the back, but the ring mounts on the front have a notch that seems like it was made just for the hi-lift jack.

    CA WTT - Mapcorp GARC

Oh! The radio mount with the isolation mounts. Took me a day but my memory is rock solid.

    It's alive!!!

I suggest reusing the one that came off unless it looks damaged or compressed by a mechanic that torqued "by hand" instead of to spec. If you use the gasket maker or silicone read the directions- it probably has to cure for 24 hours before you put the trans fluid back in.

    Glow Plug Replacement

I got my AC Delco (10mm junk) GPs from Erik's Mil Surplus. They lasted less than a month before they started failing. That was an $80 lesson. If I recall correctly, those had a NSN in the advertisement as well.

What have you done to your HMMWV today/lately

I found an old guy locally that specializes in radiator repair, so I took the rad over to him and he re-soldered everything. Most of these side weldments were broken loose, and my theory is that it put stress on the core enough to start the leak. It was $135 fixed out the door. He took it...

This would be more informative if you reveal what truck you have... ;)

    Are these batteries any good...?

Only asking because you didn't mention it in your original post but.... you are waiting until the WAIT light goes out... right? RWH put two automotive batteries in mine (has it been?) three years ago I think, and I've never had any problem getting the truck to spin up fast and fire off, even...

On the deck! Everything bagged and tagged, or marked on the part itself.

Radiator coming out... Just getting the hood off is difficult when you're one-deep. Wood board underneath with a couple screw-eyes and strap and it lifts off easily. So far that was the easiest part of this job. Headed out for Day 2....

    PNW Info Thread!

True, but I also have limited time to do any work, especially work with an unknown ECD. So it has to be this weekend irrespective of other events.

Wondering if anyone purchased something from GovPlanet that was listed as "parcel eligible" and how successful that was.
