Ahhh.. Berend's truck. I swear I saw that one sell in Puerto Rico some time back. Good score on a rare truck indeed.

Thoughts on removing coil springs on A1R

You're thinking reductive solutions. Be positive. This is the opportunity for hillbilly armor! :p

Thoughts on removing coil springs on A1R

I don't have much difference in the ride quality on my A1R trucks. They are quieter without the bounce of the air bags and frankly it doesn't throw my drink around as much when driving. Generaldisorder has some good insight about the shocks (above). It's nature of the beast until you're willing...

3116 vs 3126 with exhaust brake

I had one more that sold in July. A1R trucks are very few and far between, especially MTV (6x6) variants. There's a M1085A1R for sale on facebook market plate right now for $49,999.

7 ton MTVR Parts Reference Spreadsheet

I'd like a copy of this list too if able.

What have you done to your FMTV or LMTV today

It's an A1R so it has the heavier coil over suspension and the HIAB crane in place of the Grove crane. There must be a lot more to the HIAB since it's a direct point lift crane. Also, I'm getting fat. rofl

What have you done to your FMTV or LMTV today

Took the M1084A1R out to get a scale/weight ticket to satisfy the State of Texas's new requirement for vehicles over 10,000 lbs to have a weight on their title. She clocked in at just over 28,000 lbs. That's a lot more than I was expecting.

What have you done to your FMTV or LMTV today

I had this M1093A1R in the back of my motor pool for a while and a customer inquired about it. Fresh batteries and a PBC (push button controller) and it rolled out of its hole. Minor issues to tend to but a MTV with factory A/C. Egads! I want A/C in my truck now.

What have you done to your FMTV or LMTV today

Repaired, painted, and took this M1089 beauty out for a QT drink. This has been my most challenging job yet due to the complexity up inside the frame and the multiple surfaces. It's a good truck and is for sale soon.

    M929 Won’t Start

You should contact Doug at Memphis Equipment since he was your POC for the truck and the modifications. We here are just shooting in the dark based on basic operations of the solenoid. Who knows what they did to convert it... If anything you can screw in the fuel shutoff solenoid and...

Help on how to obtain title

The SF-97 is a dead-end for you. Only the first buyer/recipient of the truck from the government can file for it and it's non-transferable. You will need to file for a bonded title. I just googled "Michigan vehicle bonded title" and got this. It's a process but it will get you legal...

M10A International Harvester Rough Terrain Forklift

Picked up this Navy 520C loader, the step below our M10A/530C loaders. 92' year and still carries on the same design as our units. I can't wait to worker it and get some gravel laid out.

I recognize the truck and background. Haul it home. Do yourself a favor and PMCS it before it ever hits the road.

    LMTV died while driving

I have 12.9.1. Nothing has changed with the ABS since its production on these specific vehicles so you don't need the latest software.

    LMTV died while driving

Ah yes, the hidden yet infamous noise suppression box. It's not an official MWO but the commo guys install them when truck need a clean feed for their radio equipment onboard. I've had 3 of these units swell internally and cause a truck to crank no start. Nice find and no they're not in the...

    LMTV died while driving

PDP - Power Distribution Panel ( inside the passenger dash board with relays and breakers). You will need the Wabco toolbox to talk to the ABS. It's a COTS (commercial off the shelf) system so start with visually checking your sensor cables at the wheels, make sure your truck's voltages are...
