Question: If I can get one of the Authors of an Overlanding Build book to do a DIY Zoom meeting, would you be interested?

No agenda. Just seeing if people might be interested. Develop agenda later. Q&A likely. Nothing in stone.

Question: If I can get one of the Authors of an Overlanding Build book to do a DIY Zoom meeting, would you be interested?

Just wondering if people would be interested in hearing an Overlanding Conversion expert speak. Interesting to you or no?

Group buy-Composite Campers for Military Vehicles-Reasonable prices

Hello, If you are interested in a group buy of composite DIY camper shells, I import these. These are XPS and PIR foams. There is a more exotic foam core, if you want it. It is hand-laid and super strong. Doors, windows are typically Eurovision, and are also sold by a well-known RV window / door...

Haldex PUREst dryer failure - casting defect?

Hard to see exactly what this is. Maybe a well placed dremel tool could clean up matting surfaces?

Lithium compatible battrery isolator /charge controller 24v/48v

I use 3 Midnight Solar MPPT's. Victron has largest market share on charge controllers in RV's, but not sure that they are the best. https://www.midnitesolar.com/

    LMTV Passenger Seats

Ok, fair enough. Agree, and I don't think pretty polished lifted 4x4's pick up trucks with very wide low profile tires and stock axles have seen much serious mudding.

Attractiveness=subjective Stress cracks from square corners? This may be an issue for their builds, but this is not an issue for all. In a previous discussion, you mentioned excessive cost of Bill's products? What is a fair cost in your mind? Just curious. Aluminum is a nice material and they...

    LMTV Passenger Seats

Hmmm...so much info. to unpack here. So let me get this straight. You put house windows in your camper box because of stress points? No sure why sharp corners are an issue. These are not an issue for production that I am aware of. Better quality than what? Stronger than what FRP composite...

    LMTV Passenger Seats

There certainly is more than one way to approach a camper. There are a lot of variables and needs. So there is no one size fits all. What works for one, may not work for another. I recall watching a guy who bought an ambulance camper saying there was so much that had to be modified to make it...

    LMTV Passenger Seats

I believe mine can, but mine is not your typical composite. It is hand-laid with a corrugated inlay. Each panel is a sealed cell. I will see if I can get a calculation on this, when I get time.

    LMTV Passenger Seats

I looked at ambulance boxes. The two issues I found were a lack of height and thermal bridging. That being said, an ambulance box will work for many. However, if you plan on extreme hot or cold climate travel, they are no likely for you. Metal conducts thermal energy. Sounds minor, but it can...

Anyone have picture of properly mounted air brake load sensor valve on an m1088?

Still need a picture of this item mounted, if you can spare the time : )

    New LMTV owner

Wade into your rebuild of your truck slowly. Ask lots of questions. The diaphragms in the air brake cans can be replaced, BUT doing them without working knowledge can kill you. The springs inside are so powerful they can easily crush a face. Better to replace. There are miles of air lines on...
