If the block is full of coolant you can run it for a few minutes at idle as the block and coolant can soak up the initial heat. If you're just trying to get it up the hill 200 yards it wont hurt it but keep time and throttle to a minimum of course. I'd keep the belt on and toss in cheap fluid to...
Hard to say on that one. I have one R1 in that serial range that has 68,xxx miles on it but who's to say that's not original miles before reset or even the original gauge.
I saw a LDS-2 in a can, yes NOS in a can, on facebook from another steelsoldier member last summer. He stripped it down to put in his deuce and I bought all the M656/M757 specific accessories. I know rare stuff pops up time to time but it's possible.. :naner:
I have a M757 with the LDS-2 in it. The TMs for the truck aren't too enlightening on the engine itself but it's rated for 210 hp. Some documents say 215 hp so it is in that area. It does have a larger turbo and I'm sure the pump is tuned differently. I can't say if it shares pistons with the -1A...
Fastest EUC in the west.. 1 minute. I did submit it the day prior so I wouldn't be surprised if the system updates daily and it was both submitted and approved the day before so it looks like this. Pure SWAG - scientific wild ass guess.
I believe it's how the tire has been stored and treated more than the age. If it has been off rim, sitting in the sun full of water I wouldn't put them on my truck unless they were new-new. UV is the enemy! I've seen new tires on rim stored on dirt only for them to rot where the soil draws out...
14.00's are basically non-existent from surplus and modern ones are not cost efficient i.e. shipping from Europe, etc. Your options are 395s or 16.00s, both of which are plentiful, available, and fit your rims without any modifications. I have both tires in stock and put them on most M923 trucks...
MWME is a A1P2 LTAS converted from an A1R. The sister M1089A1P2 model sold on ebay a few years ago that came from the same program destined for an oversea country but didn't make it. They were all A1Rs and converted to order and I know because I inquired about them and their very minty batch of...
It sounds good on paper until you actually have one IF you can find one. The ones released have been very few and far between of which most are M1078A1Rs, a good portion of those are rebuilt/repurchased trucks converted from existing M1078"A0"s so quality is so-so. The only two M1085A1Rs I've...
Throwing some first hand info into this conversation.. I've gathered solid info direct from Allison about our 3700SP (note not 3070) in the A1R trucks capable of 370 hp. Our units are rated for a sustained 935 lb-ft input and a 370 hp flash to the C7 gives a 928 lb-ft of torque at peak output...
Yup, I remember making notes about it on facebook. The data plates are all kinds of screwy as is the door dimensions plate (M1087A1.. yeah ok). It's a pretty sweet find so discover he secrets before you/if you part ways with her. I've been curious if the truck was an M1085 prior to getting the...
After you add the habitat apparatus, trailer, contents, etc you will feel a difference between the 3116 and 3126, even more so if you change gears. You can swap turbos and change the injection pump on the 3116 to get 290 hp out of it but that's top end without a major investment. The 3126 you...
