Thank you Dave and Deb for being such gracious hosts. I had such a great time as always. The food was awesome. If you guys have a fish fry next year, I will have to make it too. Thanks to those who took some of my junk home. Thanks to those who let me take some of there junk home. ;)
Just got the brownies ready to go, fresh out of the oven. Need to pack up a few other things really quickly, then I am on my way. See you guys in about an hour.
I will be bringing one of the Deuce cargo cover kits in camo and one in tan if anyone is interested. I will also have one single camo cover with me as well. Clinto was mistaken about the NOS slave cable, I have a used one that I will bring. I will be bringing the NOS Slave cable ends though...
I would have thought that the HET would go faster than 45, but I guess to have that type of hauling capacity you cannot expect much more than that. Good to hear that the trip was not that bad. These trucks are kind of growing on me. Might have to see about getting my CDL and getting one...
Just curious, what was your top speed while towing? Also what is the normal top speed of a HET?
I know I have been tired lately driving my Dodge 2500 on the recovery trips that Clinto and I have made (went to OH and FL) due to weight slowing us down on return trips, but I cannot imagine how...
I know what you mean PB, Clinto has scared me a time or two when he has seen something while driving along and I feel the vehicle drifting all of the sudden.
If you only knew. ;) We get links regularly of other M38A1's for sale and I hear "Oh, look at what's for sale" or "We could go on an adventure to get this"...
I need to better my MVR skills, not as good at spotting them in their natural habitat as Clinto is. :D
Yeah, I thought so. Had to give you grief. Need to take Clinto back to the old hometown and test out his MVR skills, they are uncanny. No telling what other kind of neat stuff is around there.
PB, you need to get the CAMO crew better GPS if they wind up in a diner in Butler, GA. I can say that because I grew up in Reynolds, not very far away. I remember there being a National Guard unit near my house as a kid and seeing a lot of neat green stuff. Amazed that someone had this near by.
The hardtop looks great. I am sure that your cab is going to be super quiet. Your truck looks awesome. I like all of the modifications that you have made. Your ride to the GA Rally this year will sure be a comfy one (hint, hint). :driver:
Clinto, myself, and Clinto's dad will be there on the 30th (Saturday). I am looking for the following parts, 3 color camo vinyl cargo cover for a deuce, deuce passenger window, deuce passenger window regulator new, deuce turn signal switch new, 2 spring ride seat bottom cushions, and 2 optima...
Clinto and I will be bringing items as long as they are paid for in advance (I will have to hear it if Clinto has a hernia afterwards and want to make it worth it ).
