Hi,
This post could've been placed in a number of forum sections as it covers many topics.
This past weekend our Military Vehicle Club along with several re-enactment groups and associations conducted a "Salute to the American G.I." for Armed Forces Day. Every U.S. conflict from the...
Hi,
Very cool...Another great use for the wrecker! Heavy equipment can't always be easily transported back to the shop making a wrecker a necessity!! Thanks for posting the pics...hopefully the parts weren't mega expensive. These old machines need a good rebuild every 40-50yrs... ;)
I...
Hi,
I guess they are so useful that they are worn out. They are long enough to haul crap but not too long to make them cumbersome.
Thank you maddawg for starting this thread. They don't get alot of attention...
A member of my ATHS chapter has a mint M127 that he has been trying to sell...
Hi,
What a great show. The NJ club puts on a well organized event every year. BS'd with all the "usual suspects" and picked up some much needed items. Despite the breezy cool weather there was a great showing of vehicles, armor and vendors.
The NJ club concession stand was efficient and...
Hello,
Thank you Jake for starting this thread and including all the important information in your post.
I just got the "go" from Lynn @ RC for both the Spring and Fall events. Just so everyone marks their calendars, the 4th annual Fall Rally will be held October 21st to the 24th. I'll...
Hi,
Nice job, I really like your choice of motor!! (Polyhead 318 ) Looks great!
Weiand has started producing an aluminum four barrel intake manifold again for it. TTI makes headers for the Polyhead too, but cast manifolds are just fine for your app.
Hi,
I will email Lynn @ RC to confirm April 2,3,4 as the date for the Spring Rally. Even if I can't make it to the April Rally I will do my best to coordinate things.
If you guys liked having a less crowded park last fall, let me know and I will set the same weekend in October for the fall...
Hi,
Thank you Chris for posting your observations and the video links to the tests. It demonstrates how important it is to drive safely and not rely on Technology as a crutch. My brother and I have put almost 2,000miles on the M923 since getting it back in Sept. of 08' and have operated in...
Hi,
Yes 73M819 you can mix & match and use the proper proportioning valve, we chose not to for a few reasons:
-We wanted to utilize all Mil. parts for the braking system to make it look as if it was an MWO as well as its great performance and function. We didn't want to start hodgepodging...
Hi,
Thanks for your interest M920. I appreciate all the work done to the M920. It really looks sharp and makes people think its an M1070 HET.
On to the brake issue:
Thank you 73M819, my brother and I are the ones that did the air brake conversion. We were going to use those rockwell...
Trailer
Hi,
I also would advise you that acquiring a civilian trailer is the way to go. The military "flatbed" trailers available do not have the desired load rating, the decks are too high, and the deck lengths are always too short for whats being asked.
