The "narrow" gasket on the primary does not fill the recessed groove and tends to "roll over" if the canister is not sinched up exactly square and is very irritating. I try to use the "fat" gasket and always replace the cardboard washer on the 1" bolt/nut.

Thank you, those are all great things to bring. I finally made up a spare parts box using a 20mm ammo can. Its great to have everything in one spot and contained.

Yeah I like to whittle on metal from time to time. I recently acquired a Brown & Sharpe Model No. 00 Automatic Screw Machine made in 1898. It still works like swiss watch! I'd love to see what they have stashed away on the other floors. The building itself is worth the visit.
