Electric is probably the way to go but I want to keep mine 1971 correct and I do enjoy the sound of the air wipers when they do work!

Convert to the air switch. It’s much safer. With single circuit hydraulic brakes, if the fluid switch fails, there is a big hole in the end of the slave cylinder. Mike’s kit is nice, however, depending on the line size, you might need a different adapter.
