The locomotive on the left is a 1905 Porter compressed air loco. It ran in the Homestake mine in Lead South Dakota. The tank was designed to hold 600 psi.

Spent the weekend before last painting Zelda! spent last week putting on stars, hood and bumper numbers. Also got my plate in the mail I will mount that up and she's ready to go stepping out! Here is the before and after picture. I don't think your ever done!

Did get the right side pulled off and the new wheel cylinder in. Even got the Boss to come out and help me bleed the brakes! However I wasn't sure how to answer the question of the night:
Me: "Just get into the drivers seat and I'll have you pump the brakes." So she gets in.

Well I hadn't intended on leaving that but when the wheel cylinders failed,(which I honed out and rebuilt by the way) I wonder if the kit was old and the rubber was bad. Not sure why? Had to get it fixed. but it allowed me to up grade some track componets. Learning more as I drive the machine...
Well it was time to replace the rear wheel cylinders. Tore the left side down first. Got it back together yesterday, my buddy helped me put the track on, not too bad. Also put a new sprocket on, outside idler half and adjusted the turn buckle. Took it and ran it and it ran really smooth.
Now...
If you get chance to read the thread, Mike has doggedly pursued every venue, pretty much every US manufacture thumbed their nose at this. However if we missed something get a hold of Mike. The ideal situation would be all US made but it ain't happening.

Most of the halftrack tracks on today were manufactured by Isreal and were produced in the 90's, although some folks are still running some from the 40's and 50's

Well like ususal I've had a few setbacks and some minor glitches. Had some head bolts work loose and had to install another head gasket. But also got another major project out of the way. Got my perimeter rail fabbed up will install it tonight and get her loaded on the trailer for the 4th of...
