    Aloha from a newby

Remove the bumper and there is a one way valve on that air line that is commonly faulty. It shouldn't vent any air ever. If you need one I could USPS flat rate you one if no on else can ship it reasonably.

    Transmission controller question

I have a few rebuilt units on the shelf from Transmission Instruments. I feel it's not worth the hassle of diving into since the work is fairly priced and comes with a 2 year warranty.

Buying a MK23...Am I making the right decision?

I believe he's confusing the requirement for antique age registration vs FMV registration which are separate things. Where are you located in Texas? We need a city as per site rules. Also Gig'em! 12'

Steel Soldiers MV of the month October 2020

Why vote Seabee Auger? It's a rare and unusual truck from a service branch that isn't known for their wheeled vehicles It's an officially sanctioned setup by the US NAVY It's not only nice looking but ready to work - not a "hanger queen"!! Who doesn't like the Seabees? M925 Seabee Auger Truck...

FMTV Allison 3070 Transmission - Code 4627 Overcurrent, A-High Solenoid Circuit

Yes, that was the 1st major repair after replacing the chassis harness during diagnostics. It ohm'd good but the code I'm getting now is "no continuity circuit A" - different than the original code.

FMTV Allison 3070 Transmission - Code 4627 Overcurrent, A-High Solenoid Circuit

No it's still a lingering issue. I purchased a new inner cab cable (from TCM to hump connector) and it didn't solve the problem. At this point I've touched every part from the TCM to solenoid with continuity and still have the code. TCM checked out good from an Allison authorized dealer. I'm at...

    M916A3

Most A3s ive seen from auction bring 40K+. Simpson is right on the recent A3 junk that sold for 16K and it was missing an axle and lots of small things. So there's your parameters. I like Lance's angle, go with that.

Have you installed 3.07 gears in your truck? Kindly step in I have something to ask

I personally believe it's worth it as my situation is long flat straight highways with hundred of miles in between. I see it as $5K invested so I can keep with traffic (safety), I lessen wear on my truck (minor cost savings), I'm not pushing my engine too hard (potential major cost savings if I...

Anybody titled a HMMWV in Texas lately

Since EUCs were basically on hold since Feb I'm not surprised no one replied. SF-97s are still backlogged on top of that. Texas is FMV friendly and sounds like you didn't have much trouble so count it as a win.

    M977 Brake issue

Start by downloading all the TM's for your truck under the "TM" tab top right of the website header. They're great guides. Secondly, when you press the parking brake button in how much air is being released? Does it hold pressure until you touch the brake pedal? It certainly sounds like...
