Fluid was checked with truck running.
Eric dropped the tranny fluid pan and tranny only had a couple of quarts in it. Dip stick was very innacutate.
Eric refilled with correct volume and tranny shifts properly.

Before you do anything, go to the top of this forum, and look for a download the technical manual/TMs. They are free, and that will answer all your questions about fluids and everything else
1-“dip stick” not always accurate on hand built trucks.
2-drop the pan, catch the fluid, and reseal with NEW FILTER.
3-I will look for tranny troubleshooting guide.

IIRC… Bead shape of old style truck tires is more diagonal when seen in section.
Bead shape of civilian tires is more square.
