Pros and Cons of zipper boots

Charge a bit more & accept a limited run. Could also make them to order.

Sending my Deuce to Organizational Maintenance Unit (a.k.a. Jeepsinker)

Safe travels & may Murphy get a flat & miss his appointment with you. :clinto::driver: Has anyone put 395s on the M105? That gives you two extra spares.

    Supplies for a Long Trip

Can these be changed so they all match? I've driven my Jeep for 19-years & never once has a wheel come off from loose lugs.

The big trip and a new MV.

So where did you mount the AD9, close to the compressor, close to the tanks, or in the middle? How often does the desiccant cartridge need replaced (does it have an indicator)?

Pros and Cons of zipper boots

Ahhhhhhh, now the light comes on. I kept reading about people pulling the wheels apart to relube everything so I didn't think installation was the purpose of the zippers. Thanks for the info. Someone needs to get the molds for the boots & start making quality units here in the US.

That is pretty cool. I'll have to check to see if they have these in AZ.

What are all those bumps on you? You look all swelled up & about to explode. My muscles are all smooth & streamlined, making me very aerodynamic (think the nose of a C-5 Galaxy). ;);):-P:naner::whistle::cookoo::grin:rofl:tin hat:

That story is awesome! Makes me want to take the truck to some snooty valet parking restaurant & see how they react. Nah, I couldn't do it. Nobody drives my vehicles except me & my mechanic. The 78-passenger bus I used to drive had Armstrong steering & IronFoot brakes. Both feet down & pull...

Pros and Cons of zipper boots

I read through the thread and may have missed it, but this question gnaws at my mind like a rat on cheese. What is the purpose of having boots with zippers? From what I've read here, people put them on & leave them until they wear out & need replacing. A zipper (to me) would seem to indicate...

    Supplies for a Long Trip

Many thanks! I have been through some very sticky situations in my life and The Lord has always watched out for me. The simple fact that I am still alive today is proof of miracles. I thank you all for your prayers & I pray The Lord will guide me on this journey for with Him, all things are...

    Supplies for a Long Trip

I'll be riding in the stock spring seat for the trip, but will have an extra cushion if I need it. I want to see how much legroom I have to operate the pedals so didn't want to upgrade the seat yet. The stock 20" steering wheel is too big for me (in the way) so I'm going with the 18" wheel...

    Supplies for a Long Trip

Thanks. I am very grateful of everyone on this site that has given me such great information about the M35A2. I would have been ill prepared to go and get it without all the advice, guidance, & encouragement.

    Supplies for a Long Trip

Thanks, I'll plan for 5-days then. I don't want to push vehicle or driver on my first trip. "How can these super singles weight so much? They're filled with air!"

Nice trucks. Is that a Pinzgauer at the far left? Those are really cool, but way too small for me.

Those look like the stock size ND tires on the deuce. Am I missing something? :cookoo:

    Supplies for a Long Trip

How long would you think it will take me to drive 1700 miles? I'm trying to plan my overnight stops (hotel reservations & such). Hopefully no unexpected stops along the way, but trying to build in time to cover them (just in case). 3-days & a few hours for 1700mi is my optimistic plan, but...

Pros and Cons of zipper boots

When you say they aren't water tight, does that mean you shouldn't take it fording or you shouldn't let the garden hose splash water on them when washing the truck? Just want to be sure I understand your meaning to the correct level.

Title Problems with Missouri Dept. of Revenue

That stinks! I'm trying to figure out how to get my M35A2 plated since it is currently in restoration & is not licensed. The seller said he would send me the title so I could plate it here in AZ & take the plates with me, but I feel nervous completing the transaction without first seeing the...
