Welcome to Steel Soldiers.
You’ll want to remove the wheels and physically inspect/repack the bearings.
These trailers are notorious for lack of maintenance as already mentioned.
Snap-on makes a special plier that removes the grease cap without damaging it.
I've used mine to remove some...
I do not.
I can get them to a shipper but it would be much easier to just call Uship or UPS Freight etc.
They will go to wherever the tires are located and pick them up.
Where I’m located, it would take me most of the day to get them to a shipper.
Weatheford is almost a two hour drive from my...
On my newly acquired USAF Mobile Command vehicle (1979 GMC Vandura) the H6054 headlights are sylvania brand and supposed to be sealed but water condensation is inside both lights and no cracks are visible. Both still work.
Ordered a new set of Wagner lights,……….Made in China.
I thought Wagners...
His truck is a M1008 not a M1009.
Search for 1984 K30 pickup, not a K5 Blazer.
Same headlight for both.
I have had the Truck-lite LED headlights installed for over 5 years now.
Zero issues and plenty of light.
Made in USA.
Low power draw.
The regular halogens can cause heat issues with the...
If you’re lucky, any paperwork left behind will give you some info.
Bumper numbers will hopefully show last unit assignments. (Some sanding will usually reveal older numbers and different unit(s)).
Other than that, you’ll need a Time Machine.
The DOD purged the CUCV vehicle records long ago...
I'm assuming you mean the M101A2 since the M101A1 does not have surge brakes (unless someone added them).
The lever will move around a bit and isn't totally firm, unless its been pulled forward and locked.

A pressure washer will work fine
I run a hose from the rear faucet to the pressure washer. I also have it so I can also use the bottom drain as a feed if needed
(It's not a commercial HD High flow pressure washer, just a standard 3.5 GPM home use one)
It works great.
I also keep mine filled in...
There are numinous civilian trailers that will fit your needs with much less headache and expense.
Texas Pride trailers will build you exactly what you want/need and they are great trailers.
I have land just North of Marble Falls, TX and good trailer brakes are a lifesaver. Especially in the...
I don't own one, but I wouldn't start it again until some of the experts here weigh in.
Watched the video and sounds like something inside broke or is going to very soon.
Good Luck
Still had the government sticker on the factory packaging with the NSN.
Yes, their the correct ones.
eBay is a crap shoot on finding things.
When I’m looking and needing something, nothing to be found or priced like it’s gold.
When not in need, I see several sellers, all at good prices.
The M101A2 uses the standard CUCV truck rim and tire from the factory.
LT235/85R16 tire.
It's a little taller than what your wanting to use.
M101A3 will accept the CUCV truck rim without problems and the shorter tire your wanting to use will work just fine.
Don't forget a spare for the trailer...
I found NOS champions on eBay without any problems.
Several sellers had them.
Bought 6 and all were factory sealed.
The ones on my MEP-002A are working just fine but I wanted spares.
