All the wanted parts are mass production. Ask your Chevy dealer. Bearings are also available at the local bearing shop (industrial bearings etc.). Bearings have a number, here it should be a Timken number. Replace, ment is therefor very simple.
Other parts, if not available at the Chevy / GM...
Looks like you are doing with your Deuce what the US Army did in Europe in the 70's and 80's, convert the truck to personal needs. By that time, that was more or less illegal, however, any platoon / company did do so. A wooden Body was a minor modification. However, they did to my knowledge...
I own my M715 since 1980 and road registered it in October 1982. Changed to a German Diesel engine by that time, the original engine was DEAD. Fuel consumption was o.k.on long distance, however on short distances due to 20 l of oil to heat up, poor.
In 2002 I restored the truck a second time...
The Scania Topline up there has the sleeping place for the driver, a 1.1m wide bed, 2.1 m long, reachable by a folding ladder. One of the favourite trucks in Europe due to lenght restrictions. And Scania Topline R620 means this truck has a V8 16 l 620 hp engine.
Nice work (I do hobby modelling...
That first video there you can follow the tanks with a MAN KAT 1 without problems. These trucks are made for that. We call that: Make the tires dirty.

The Actros is nicknamed IRON HOG for its weight. The doors are that heavy that you need a hydraulic assist to open them if not on level ground.
The L949V16 Cab is a Zetros cab for a prototype and testing truck, fully armoured.
Needs a 9 t front axle.
Gross weights of both trucks are limited by...
For me there is not much left of the original truck. The cab looks like a B2PW126 of 1950, the front fenders are pressed down to make space for the exhaust. The cargo body sides also look like the Power Wagon side panels of the 50's. So may be a W300M on a truck frame of a 6x6 shortend to fit...
I think, that just bleeding the brakes on such an old truck will not do it. For my opinion, the brake system must be taken out of the truck, disassembled, overhowled, reassembled and than good luck.

Ugly or not ugly.
Compare the SIL with the 5 t MAN. Both designs are based on experiences of WWII and were designed in a simelar period of time.
On the later I made my truck drivers licence.

For the CUCV Series trucks the speedos are all the same, as said above. However, the acuracy of these mechanical devices is relatively poor, which is depending on the simple designe. and the big allowed toenance of the parts. If you have enough parts on hand, you can go for the best. If not, use...
The SEE's were built to the requirement of the Corps of Engineering in some 30 years ago. They were thought to dig some small holes, remove some small plies of dirt and so on which takes too long by hand. If you use the SEE to that what they are designed for, they are very nice. If you use them...
Ugly, uglyer, that depends on the point of view and what you are used to. The eastern trucks were built for the needs iof the Russian Army and there did a fine job. The US trucks were built for the needs of the US Army and did their job there as well.
The tracks of the tank are the typical...
The address in northern germany is reasonable. Swiss MOG's are probably in better condition overall, however much more expensive. The MOG's are usually for more than 10 years out of service and parked outside, so a lot of work. And they are trucks, so the prices are truck like for spares (which...
A tight fit of the starter in relation to the flywheel can be heared when engaging the starter. A metal klick. And this problem is mentioned in the manual. All old starters need more or less shimming, depending on the accuracy of the Aluminium head.
By the way, this klick ruins the spur gear of...
If you come from Grenoble and drive on the RN towards St Marcellin, pass the town, continue until the RN crosses the autoroute. Then you are there. Thats also the way to find the location on google earth.
I have been there 31 years ago.
