Cyclejay, believe it or not that half track is a gold mine of parts. I have 2 that are in worse shape but worth every dime I paid for them. I've already pull enough parts that they have paid for them selves. If it was closer I'd go after it. :jumpin:

I hear you about the 10ton's I was assistant driver and dozer operator, I liked driving the 10ton. But you also have it right the half track has a coolness all it's own. Spent time today with the little stuff. Keep driving on.

David, thanks for taking some great photo's. I'm going to be heading into my front end pretty soon, I'll use these as a resource. I just finished rebuilding my e-brake handle. It was frozen up. It's those little items that slow you down.

Out here in the the Northwest, FMC took the M-113 running gear and made a log skidder out of them. Ha a hydraulic arch on them. They were really fast.

Dirt finally got a chance go through your whole thread, wow nice work. Your doing a great job. You were right about your frame it is in sad shape. I had an extra frame that I got with my Diamond T it was an A=car frame but even with having to shorten the frame back up my original frame was in...

I have pictures posted on photo site, when I tried to post the pictures down on my profile it says "[img] code turned off" I tried to enter it manually and all it did was just leave the link. Is there a way to turn the img on? or do you have to have a certain amount of posts to beable to post...
The mill it came from had a cherry picker on it. Allot of HT's had the frame extended and cranes put on them. Southern parts modified them and put flat beds, dumps and what ever else they could think of on them after the war.
Haven't been here for a long time, and never posted but here is some shots of my 1942 Diamond T M3 halftrack:
Rebuilt roller frames
Removing the 4' extension out of the frame
Back together
Been working at my friends shop. We detracked it last Monday
