There are (4) 395/85r20s located in Morgantown WV that I would like picked up and transported to Northeast Ohio. I specifically live in Creston, 44217. I am within (2) highway interchanges where we could meet if it’s easier/faster.
Im not specifically “shipping” these so I don’t need priority...
I use Hagerty here in OH. My normal insurance guy is a writer for them also and didn’t ask a single question except for the basic vin/mileage/etc. No mention or requirement of inside parking OR driving restrictions. Mine is $180/year with $6500 replacement cost; $1500 for parts/accessories...
I have NOT checked the torque, but I did have a set of (6) injectors that I found super cheap locally, they are the shim style. I’ve been soaking them for a few days now, disassembled, all (6) needles were stuck. Got everything freed up and put them on the pop tester. (4) chattered around...
I would like to give a big thank you to Chuck(@ida34) for selling me some good condition doors for my Deuce. And also a big thanks to George(@Aurora) for picking them up at the swap and bring them home with him.
Long story short, because of a crazy deadline for some fabrication I just couldn’t...
I do all my own. I have a tester. Once clean they’re pretty easy to go through, even the old shim style, they just take a bit more time when adjusting pressures. Parts can still be found.
Nozzle holes are the same diameter, those are marked on the nozzles tips, so good to go there. As for quantity of fuel. I guess I’ll have to check that when on the tester.
When I picked them up, I couldn’t tell the difference until I had them apart. Size, shape, two-hole diameter, all the same...
I picked up (6) injectors that have a rebuild date of ‘68, then sat unused. All (6) had stuck needles in the nozzles. I have noticed that (3) of the nozzles are German, and the other (3) are US. Both have the same “two-hole/port” diameter size, BUT, the needles inside the nozzles are different...
I had a cheapo knockoff that is junk. Should I just get another one of those since I’ll hardly use it? Or what are you guys using? I don’t wanna break the bank but also don’t want a one time use haha
Thanks
Anyone on here heading home from the swap towards the Akron/Canton/Cleveland area? Or maybe passing close by on Rt.30 or Rt.71?
I might not be able to make it to the swap, and there are a pair of doors I’m interested in. I’d be will to give a little cash for someone to bring them back closer to...
First off, thanks!
Second, although I have years and years of actual welding experience; I could teach you in less than probably an hour how to lay a bead good enough for something this simple.
Never quit learning!
I built a flag/pole holder in the front passenger side bumper…
*yes there is a large drain hole in the bottom, roughly 3/8”. I even sprayed a can of paint for about 20secs in there until it dripped out the bottom. Should help seal when water enters.
*yes that’s a set screw in one of the pics...
Here’s my VERY cheap filter setup. It’s a 1 micron filter sock that “sits” in the lid. I pour the oil in it and it drains out into my 55gal barrel. I then pour my diesel and gas both through the same filter to wash it out so to speak. I mix a 55gal batch at a time.
This is what I’ve been...
I’m not looking for added power or to add any power, I’m just saying changing out to different head studs for added strength, and possibly helping some head gaskets stay together longer. For a few hundred dollars, it may not be a bad investment while you’re already in there…only curious
Just curious if anyone has taken the time to cross reference something like ARP head studs vs the originals. I just know when I built a few of my own engines back in the day, I always tried to swap any and all fasteners that were available for that engine over to something like “ARP” for the...
Well, here’s my rendition on the tool; damn near exactly 1” off set. Like posted above, but maybe not as pretty, HAHA I’m sure it may need some extra grinding here or there, but it’s a start…
