No way to get more speed with out changing axle gears or transmission. The trans used is a NON over drive unit. you can make more power with that engine by playing with the fuel settings, but your never going to come close to what you want. It is what it is. If you want a toy hauler get a M915...
I hauled a few deuces and 5 tons on a 35 foot 20K goose neck trailer and my 2500Hd diesel. No problem but it was heavy. I was at or over the max for my 2500. if you are moving it just one time it maybe more cost effective to hire a low boy type semi to move it.
Not the large one I am betting. If you do use a medium bar make sure to have it collapsed all the way, it will handle the truck at that setting just fine.
well its ez... if it starts and runs but no get up and go.. its a fuel problem. Make sure the filters are clean... a 3 of them. Maje sure there is power to the lift pump and its working.
does the engine rev up when not in gear and your foot mashed to the floor?
It may be neat but.... its kinda a no no to merge with a convoy. If your exit is coming up your best off staying behind it.
If there was a car that tried to enter one of our convoys state side we did everything we could to keep you out of it.
and over here.. well lets just say its not nice.
Well you can always crank the fuel... add lager tires and give it to her. My first deuce would go down the high way a tad over 65 MPH, at 2900 RPM. Was I young and foolish.. yes... Try doing a emergency stop at that speed... I think the truck would speed up when I would mash the brakes. Now days...
