I did a reskin on mine in 10ga with .750 c channel ribs to reinforce it. it will never bow no matter whom stands on it.
It was a very long process and a ton of work but well worth the results to me in the end.
24V is not a problem with AC systems, you can do anything with 24 that you can do with 12V.
Kenny hit the nail on the head. You can do all of the insulation you want on the inside of the vehicle but its the outside that counts when it comes to stopping heat transfer. Otherwise its just sound...
Saturn HAD a few of the old school hummer AC systems back when I was wondering what path to take on mine... Problem was the size of the things.
Danhard Air makes a ton of conversion systems for trucks and have a few units which you can get up under the dash... Your biggest issue will be over...
Thats actually a flow line for the pumps internal bypass but yes it can be blocked.
Based on information posted before, mostly by myself and gringeltaube there is more than one version of this pump floating around so the TM specs are not accurate. The only way to be sure is to get the tag...
Ya need to pull the info from the data tab on that pump and make sure it is set up for the right flow and PSI settings... If not changing the vein and ring cost more than buying the right pump does, IF you can find them... Ask me how I know this!!!

Id toss that much in mine, your not trying to do it for a "job" or work application, more of the hobby DIY thing so its not like your going to be haulling 4K daily up hill both ways I wouldnt sweat it.

To elaborate on what Chuck said you install a 43 inch belt on the truck but can still yank it right off and toss on a stock belt with out pulling the mag off the engiine. Kinda nice if the mag fails (which is REALLY rare)... and again the 24V is unmodified leaving the vehicles primary...

I did say poor adjustment... Also if you get a finger coming loose, bent, or otherwise screwy even though the "throw" feels adjusted correctly it isn't.
Loose or bad pilot bearings and TO bearings make a snot load of noise when the pressure is taken off of them from...
