You can take the seals out with out removing the shaft if you have the box out on the bench. It takes steady hands to remove the retaining rings for the boots and if your not careful you will damage the shaft or PTO body. (screwdriver and hammer)

You can re-stitch them or take them into a awning company and they can repair rips as well as put in new windows if needed. It a very popular thing with the Pinz croud as their covers run well over 1000$ a pop.
