I suggest loading it up progressively with resistive loads to see exactly where it trips. That will be important information.
With the 831 load is measured by the inverter. There is no external trip unit like there is on the non-inverter generators. If its tripping out on overload its because...
Couple of things,
First - What do you mean by starting speed? Are you saying you close the "throttle" and idle the unit when you shut down?
Second - Initial gut feeling based on your description would be an injector issue. One way to test the theory is to swap injector locations and see if...
I would say a likely issue if the true problem is with the AC is the capacitor on the compressor. Those age over time and will cause the start event to take longer and use more energy. If the AC is over 5 years old its not a bad idea to replace it anyway. It can help make the compressor last...
I for one will source a product that works reliably regardless of it being mil-spec.
Thankfully I'm rarely in a situation that puts me at risk of being shot at so I don't mind saving some $$ for accessible components.
Before pulling the trigger on an unknown unit at an auction I would suggest looking at the cost of new civilian machines. If you are considering buying a MEP1040 you might be surprised that you can buy a NEW civilian unit of the same wattage for similar or even less $$$. It won't have some of...
I'm certainly not buying at those prices. No worries there.
I won't denounce capitalism BUT I will have harsh words for faux capitalism. Small markets, closed markets, and monopolistic markets can LOOK like capitalism but not truly be capitalistic due to them not being fair and open with...
That is why I posted the info for the fuel lines in another post. I'm all about making a few bucks. What I have problem with is gouging or otherwise taking advantage of a situation. JIC and AN fittings are compatible with each other and since AN is a commodity item its not expensive. Paying...
Why are ring and pinion sets for these axles thousands of dollars each?
Are there any tricks to getting a set of highway gears without breaking the bank?
The connectors were $6 each and 25’ of hose was $81. The coil of hose is enough to make 3 fuel lines. so about $35 for the one. All the parts were from Summit Racing.
edit - technically you should be able to make 4-5 from the hose since the original is 58” long but replacing the line exactly is...
A reasonably priced alternative to JIC fuel hoses is to make up your own with -6 hose and fittings. Ordered some braided fuel hose and some AN6 fittings. Everything went together easily and it works perfectly.
Thanks for the info. Am I reading this wrong? It looks like the engine speed sensor AND the vehicle speed sensor go to the transmission controller??
It was my understanding that the transmission needed engine speed, vehicle speed, and throttle position to work correctly.
First post here in this section. I searched around a bit to find the info on the engine speed sensor since the M1081 I recently purchased had a tach that didn't work. I didn't find a post with a concise breakdown of the problem so I decided to make one. I was thinking that the sensor was the...
Sure, it should be no problem to run the wiring in the attic assuming its rated properly and run correctly per code.
People make more out of unbalanced loads than is necessary sometimes. Like most things there are not hard and fast rules here that make the decisions for us. The best thing to...
