I have a lot of pics on the yahoo group showing my Iltis Spare mount, on the front of my M101 CDN2 tub.
It is under 1992 Dew, in the photos section.
Here are a few below...
Those look like the same ones that came on my truck too.
Firestone, Tube-Type, 12 ply Radial, T831.
Funny to see that pic, because my truck also came with a New Michelin Spare. Hmm?
I wonder if I had to change the tire, would the truck lop side?
I replaced my vaccuum motors with newer ones. I was able to find a few both from folks on line and at a Junkyard.
Well the motors work great, and I too have the Saturn Upgrade kit, and I think it is the cat's meow! They sweep and wipe the window like a car due to their spring loaded arms.
I have...
Well I thought I would ask this as a two part question.
First, what is the best safety wire to use, and best way to attach it to the horn button wire lead to remove it and replace it through the bottom of the gear box?
Second, when I run the new wire lead, obviously, I am going to loose some...
I was always a bit curious, as to the condition the Iltis was surplused in. I ask because I have the M101 trailer, and it seems that most were released as surplus in un-issued condition. I don't know how many were really put into service and how many sat, but my serial number is high; 1690, and...
Has anyone ever been to this site and/or yard?

I have bought quite a few New, Old Stock parts from them to help restore my M101 CDN2 trailer.
I see, It sort of mirrors the US' decision to not release any more M151's after the lawsuits began due to operator eror, and the collisions. The subsequent destruction of the MUTT, became the solution.
The legality issue is interesting. Why Aren't they legal? Is it soley based on Canadian Motor Vehicle Registration issues, or is it because of the vehicle's nomenclature being Military in nature?
What about the Iltis. Is that leagl for street use?
I replaced my Duece glass upon delivery too. My glass frames were totally rotted, and the glass had cracks.
I bought complete winshield glass assemblies from ODIron.com I think the price was $169 each. They came complete with attaching hinge, weather stripping, frame, and window lock to secure...
I suspect that my truck sat for long periods of time with out much fuel in the tank since it was a Guard unit's truck. Probably wasn't fueled unless it was being prepared for a mission.
Mechanically it is great, it was well maintained, but I think that the long periods of non-use caused things...
I bought mine from a used car dealer in Jackson, NJ. He gets them from auction, and re-sells them. It needed a bit of cosmetic restoration, but I just got the truck back from my mechanic and he told me that the truck was very well cared for mechanically. It had new brakes, New tires, New wheel...
I'm not Canadian, but thought I'd share my M101 CDN2 with you guys.
And for you folks that don't have a vehicle yet, Military trailers are always fun. They don't take a lot to restore, and require no maintinence as with a Motorized vehicle.
Can anyone point me in the right direction to find a New, Old Stock M35A2 Fuel Tank?
Mine seems to have a pin hole leak in the bottom by the front strap. It will do for now but I will need to replace it soon.
I was told that the bracket inside the the tank that holds the pump tends to rust...
After reading all the posts, I think it's an admirable idea to save the truck, but the more people involved in trying to get a statement that releases the truck to you the better chance the anwer will be "no".
Also, there is something else to consider. There are Customs Brokers that...
