Driving my LMTV home taught me one thing for sure. That is that driving significantly slower than the flow of traffic is dangerous. For me, and for others on the road.
If you're in the "Darwin" camp, and doing something that you know can be a hazard to you and others, doesn't that make you the...
I was under the impression that not all of the variants have the top rails. I cannot remember which ones I thought did not have it, but I think I read something about this a while back and for the same reason, they were putting a box on it and needed to add a rail to get the height right for...
Yesterday's activities: Got my A/C unit painted and re-assembled, getting the painted PTO panel put back together with some new switches, and got my drivelines removed so I can send them off to be rebuilt/balanced.
Yeah, I'm shopping for a CNC plasma cutter now so I can make my own hitch.
As for that winch bumper, I'm betting they are tying into the shackle mounts, that's what I'd do.
This is kind of on my list as well. There's so much spring on mine that my leg gets tired after a bit of standing on the pedal to keep it up to speed on the highway. I'm wondering if maybe just swapping it for a quality aftermarket replacement is in order.
I have not looked AT ALL yet to see...
If it's the illumination of the switches, I believe they all get power (and ground) from the same source. Unless the wiring right behind the dash panel is chewed up, I'd suspect a bulb or socket problem first. Or if the new ones are LED, they might have reversed polarity.
Sorry, I'm no help...
These are a good find. Thanks. Ordering a fistful to have around.
Also, I'm digging the UV ones. I ordered a few of those as well. Hopefully they work well with my NOGs.
I'm looking add a 2 inch receiver hitch. I've found prices from $299 to $599. WTH?
I don't suppose anyone on here is making a few at an actual reasonable cost?
FWIW, I bought Trimark handles from austinhardware.com, based on info I found in a thread here somewhere. The price did not seem too "rapey" (those bezels though). Granted it involves the dreaded cutting.
Internal Torx?
Edit: I guess I'm thinking of "external Torx", but it looks like too many points for that.
Maybe it's damaged a bit and needs a little "tappy-tap-tap" to get the socket on?
Couldn't we just cast our own out of new poly? Maybe using the NOS ones to make silicone molds? I might be willing to give this a go and make a few sets, anyone have some NOS ones for cheap?
@m-35tom Did you ever get those A/C brackets in? I have my interior gen2 unit thanks to a member here, along with the compressor and the pulley from CAT. I'm not sure what I'm doing for a condenser just yet, but it seems the brackets are still the long pole in the tent here.
