OK, found some info. Under the radio is an EMCU-116 12v to 24v inverter.
I'm assuming the switching power to the ant. mounts don't ground to the body?
Gett'n closer to putting it in. :grd:
OH, this isn't my truck. It's pics I found online for inspiration.
Ok, kind'a figgured the matching unit in the ant. mount and the power amp needed 24V. Just was hoping you could run 12V.
How about one of those DC-DC /12 to 24V 10 amp step up converters you see on ebay? Would one of those work?

I have a 12V Military Rover and a complete AN/VRC-64 set up and a PRC77 manpac and was wondering...... Is there any way to run the VRC-64 set in a 12V vehicle or is ther any radio setups that would work in it? Pretty much got the whole setup and have made up a batt. for the manpack with...

Me smells someone fishing for negative posts or being a DA. :???:
The wife said she's bringing Pamprin if you run out of "meds". Don't ask her for feminine protection, she'll pull out a 45acp 1911!
It's looking more and more like we might be able to roll out Wed! Starting to get green lights across the board! I'm totally ignoring the lil' seepage from the rear axle hub.
Was 60 degrees (brrrrrr!) here and ya'll are complaining about the heat?:cookoo:
Clinto, if I'd known I'd packed a couple rolls of concertina wire to mark off those spots! 'Course you'd spend the rest of the week pick'n women n' kids out'a it!
I have an 2008 RE and yes it's 1950's tech so you need a good tool set. Once I worked the bugs out of it she's fine for a drum brakes,carbed,500cc bike. I've put alot of fun miles on it.
