Torch it gently bit by bit, there's no other way. The spindle is very hardy but still take your time with it. If you widdle down opposing sides of the inner bearing you can take a hammer and chisel to it for the last bit and hopefully break it in half. Make sure to wipe all that grease off...
I've not found a rustoleum green that is close, the camo brown and camo black are great though. I've been using the gillespie carc 383 substitute and will be playing with the Behr paint soon so check into those instead.
Nope, a deuce isn't really even up to the task. Get a 5 ton to move it or else it will push your F-250 through an intersection. You can cage the rear brakes like any civilian system.
I'm needing help identifying and sourcing a replacement brake pod for the tan one in the photo. I've been able to get the model 3672257C92 off of it but the only thing that comes up is the black pod in the photo, clearly not the same. The city who owns the vehicle and physically possesses the...
If the key is broken it wont run at all, if the key is about to break it will run..until it breaks. I was told my upper GL management that that yard is expanding their pickup days beyond just Wednesday but haven't been there in person to confirm this change. You may be able to have a tow truck...
That truck has been relisted a few times, first time was Feb this year which is when the photos were taken. Plan to haul it home, not flat tow, all the 109s up there have been sitting near 20 years so expect a lot of PMCS before operating on the road. Do plan to bypass the FDC, replace fuel...
Air compressor for sure. It shouldn't be lagging the engine down enough to stall it, check your fuel filters and feel the temp of the compressor. If the compressor is going it may be hot to the touch.
Highly not surprised about any of this from North Hood. Those trucks have sat a looooooong time. This is the same yard I flat towed a M923 (dropped the axles as the T-case wouldn't budge), truck had NO fluids at all (listed as no oil), and both front bearing locked up on the way home. If I can...
Yup, bearing is fubar if the lip of the drum isn't shaved off too. I've only done this twice on the same truck possessed by Murphy himself. May as well redo all the seals while you're in there.
Does anyone have any experience working on the MAXXPRO model MRAP? I know the TM's are well out of our reach but I've been called to support some local counties with these units in service. I'm looking for any people with knowledge, parts sourcing, etc.. I wish I could say I owned one but I'm...
I don't remember the thickness off hand but anything from tractor supply or most anything name brand from Amazon will work for the M101A2. I've not tried the Harbor Freight personally.. Source: Sold 50 M101 trailers over the years. Feel free to pm me the link to what you bought and I'll check...
I moved my entire motor pool this past week, I put the M915A1 and M936A2 to work like they should be. Not THAT many photos but here's what the M915A1 pulled. I love this truck, it will smoke anything on the road MV wise.
