Just completed 1800 mile trip in my M37, 45 MPH was my average speed on a rebuilt drive-train .. Those flat gears in the transfer case let you know that anything faster than 50 is pushing the envelope :-D ..The unbalanced engine seems to be most happy with 45 MPH. Robust Beast, and after those...
My M37 had a Korean Era hot water heater installed by an army Motor Pool during its service in Korea .. even had a very nice bracket fabricated to support the heater .. bracket runs from High/Low/FWD Shift cover to the heater .. heater came out of either a deuce or M38 and was a professional...
Thank you all for the advice!!!! (Appreciate the edit DOGHEAD :-) ) Just what I needed to hear .. I wish I had a bigger towing vehicle as I would use a flat trailer :-? .. but my 4 Door Wrangler is limited to what it will safely tow/pull and the dolly option works best .. I looked at some other...

Took the beast out for its 1st long run last Sunday. At speeds over 30 MPH the transfer case was screaming away and vibrating like a tuning fork.
Talked to John at Midwest and decided to purchase a new in the crate transfer case ($$$aua$$$).

@%@^#^$% Jules and I took our 1st long distance test run in the beast Sunday with the results that at any speed above 30-35 the vibration and noise from the transfer case were so bad, that the headache rack was vibrating like a tuning fork! Pretty sure a gear, shaft or a bearing(s)...
My project time has flown by with the 12 short months I set aside to complete it for my upcoming trip. I want to thank Papa-Bear and the CAMO crew for all of their support when I was stationed at Ft Benning .. without their assistance the recovery and restoration of my M-37 may never have...
