Got all of my goodies from Rick Larson today .. was hoping I could see a few pics of finished M101 trailers with all their markings (Stars, Unit Markings, etc) .. I have the TM on markings .. but my TBI/cognitive damaged brain :( does much better with visuals .. am hoping for pics of all 4 sides...
Parked in the "Very Limited Sunshine" here in western WI :( .. Supposed to warm up by the end of the week (60* here today Partly Cloudy) and more sunshine between thunderstorms .. will run in and out of the shop as required!

Completing a couple of restorations projects this week.. down to the final details. Using GCI Semi Gloss Enamel over a good enamel primer .. all of my metal was blasted and cleaned before being primed and primer and paint went on without any problems :beer:

Friend, We all know what its like when you get that fever .. but for its condition and his price and like so many others have stated .. steer clear and look for something on GL .. There are so many opportunities if one has the patience .. had similar situation and am SO GLAD that I waited ...
Great day to shoot some paint .. almost there .. going to install wire harness and lights tomorrow .. Next mini-project, going to FAB a spare tire mount to install in front of the box using the trails for support.. my stencils should be here next week so that I can wrap this project up.

Stormed last night and all morning, bolt of lightning hit a tree in my woods behind the house this morning and my two pups were going crazy .. and then just like someone flipped a switch, it cleared up around 1:30 .. had finished my body work by last night, so I took a chance and shot some paint...

PB you might not remember, but 4 of the trailer stakes were bent and twisted .. I believe that trailer was rolled or tipped over on its side at one time .. was quite pleased with the way the metal worked out with heat, hammer...
Beast is still not painted .. body man/painter was diagnosed with cancer and has been going thru treatment ..prognosis is good.. but he is just returning back to work and is only at half-days ..hopefully within the week I will have my project back so that I can finish up :???:

Was able to do a little Smithy work with the torch , hammer and a couple of steel blocks .. after a little welding they look pretty good and fit nicely into the stake pockets on the trailer ..
Fuel Can Markings
Had a troop do just that very thing one time .. gas in a diesel truck .. it messed it up big time ... The MOGAS stencil made its appearance to my recollection in the early 70's as we had such a mix of vehicle fuel types .. most markings regards painting the tops of cans etc...
ALCON: AM almost done sandblasting, priming and painting all of my trailer hardware so that I can start cutting wood etc .. I am in need of two items .. Looking for two steel stakes that support the trailer cover bows .. These are the first two stakes that fit into the pockets on the trailer ...
